  1. One thing that I really liked about the scenes after the dungeon was (spoilers ahead)

For as much of a Disaster Catboy as G’raha is, he still retains the knowledge and authority of being the Crystal Exarch from back in Shadowbringers . And I loved that he was able to slip back into that role of authority so easily when the time called for it.

  2. Definitely the Matsya and baby scene was the most stressful scene for me in the game, and possibly in any game. And I loved the duality of G'raha, both bashful catboi and confident leader. Crystal Exarch mode activate!

  3. Vanaspati is a dungeon where doing a Trust is great storytelling through gameplay.
Y'Shtola cannot see the blasphemies, so she does not attack until you do, and tends to take more damage for the same reason.

  4. Me seeing this video this morning: Yes I get to see Brit react to THIS part!

Me 1 second into the video when I see the sky on fire and the music starts: Constant tears Oh God not again…

  5. To add to the stress comment after seeing the Matsya and baby scene. The other thing that adds to it is in the last major cutscene, you watched them transform a child Infront of his father and immediately get crushed by a larger creature.

With no real blood or gore they showed you the death of a child. And along the roller coaster of stress and worry, there's this little seed planted in your head.:

'They already killed a child before my eyes, so why not a crying baby as well?'

And that fears sits with you until the moment their saves and all that dread turns to a flood of relief.

  6. Another great video. Glad to be taking this journey with you. We all felt the exact same. This game, this expansion really, took great care to make you feel despair. Suddenly your character who always gets the job done just in the nick of time, has example after example of failure, loss, and being just a second too late. Its a new feeling for us WoL….but very effective.

  7. The whole scene with Matsya and the baby was designed to put the player on edge. The sound of the baby crying triggers the brain into a "I have to help this baby" response, but since the baby isn't real and we're forced to watch the scene play out our anxiety levels spike. I personally rank it the second best scene in all of 14.
