Hey Savix I think you missed the quest dialogue after Gosetsu left on his pilgrimage. Hien reveals that Gosetsu lost his wife and daughter during the first war against the empire. So in a way Hien believes Gosetsu saw Tsuyu as the daughter he lost so many years ago (hence he always referred to her like a child).
"Was the fruit as sweet as he remembered."
I always lose it at this line. I can hold for everything else, but damnit if this line doesn't get me every time!
Mad Respekt. Not only are you on track to finish the Story b4 Endwalker. You've done alot of the Harder Fights also.
Prelude in Violet fucking makes Stormblood for me. Seeing Yotsuyu survive and explore the meaning of forgiveness for a truly unforgiveable person before her end was such a good story that you don't normally get in black and white stories of conflict. To this day I still think about whether or not Yotsuyu deserved forgiveness or if Tsuyu would've been possible in a land scarred by Yotsuyu.

I think Gosetsu still has a role to play somewhere. Hopefully finding peace and all that and retired at Hien's side as an advisor or something. Dont know if I want him to die a heros death now… I'd rather he is happy and content with life. At least we can trust that SE remembers their old characters, and maybe they return him in Endwalker.
