  1. The main thing about cape west wind in general is that it was supposed to be an easy win from a story aspect and a 8 man tutorial like solemn trinity. That give weight and presence of them being off guard and it gives more weight from gaius being pissed off that they were basically ambushed or lost easily. It really hurts this point now from the change cause in arr your supposed to be a nobody gaining the power of a somebody through the gc and support of the Scion’s not a super hero from the get go till basically lahabrea is bopped so I hope there is a bit more of an npc engagement there to make both things that I felt from that scene better as a whole for new people doing it. Instead of what I think they will be doing is retconning stuff again which i never like in the first place.

  2. I do hope that if they remove the MSQ roulette, that the other roulettes will increase in the amount of exp you get. A flat removal would slow down levelling for sure.

  3. This trust updates and changes to the end of arr dungeons is really helpful in solidifying that first experience into the game. Recently watching Josh hays video on "100 hours in" and see that if it's long for a dps to que for the first dungeon… that kinda spoils the flow of the game. Your first experience in ffxiv should be fun and easy to get into, not waiting for a que that no one does those dungeons anymore. A lot of good changes I'm seeing as I level a alt with a friend new to ffxiv.

  4. Its not that I'm embarrassed…. i just don't like people XD moving away from the tag MMO is great news for me, if you all left and i was the only player left, i'd still play it. I can play with my friends, and don't have to mess with randoms.

  6. 11:28 Both chats being Pepegas. They're talking about the Dungeon Nidhogg where Estinien is already a regular NPC in that fight, not the Trial Nidhogg.

They mean to say, in their example, working it so Estinien is no longer a normal NPC in the dungeon fight so that he can instead be a Trust NPC option.

  7. Something that was mentioned was that trust stands in things during hydaelyn. Theyre meant to. Theyre programmed to do that because it adds personality to the fight. In other scenarios they will not be that "braindead" (see any other trust instance). The only time they genuinely fuck up during it for the most part is lightwaves.

  8. Sad. A lot of the Newcomers are boosting their way to Endgame and SE is wasting time, ressources and money in 2.0 development.
I'm playing since the Beta and the Game became straight up boring Content wise. It started with Casualbringers that there is not enough interesting Stuff to do for active players. Endwalker had a good Story, but what else? And now they are showing us 7.0 changes because they don't have enough to show for 6.1. 😕

  9. While I'm glad they're making updates to trusts, it would have been cool to see them implement squadrons into this as well so you could use either trust buddies or anyone you have in your squadron.

  10. They commented on why scions stand in AoEs in the hydaelyn fight, it didnt feel lore appropriate to have them all be perfect dodgers.

Yshtola however will always dodge every mechanic due to her unique vision.

  11. The console limitations, if I understand correctly, are what make the game so well-optimized, so I really don't mind that at all. Plus no one really has a PS5. Anyone saying they do is from the future or lying.

  12. Hmm, was going to go to Xenos' Twitch to watch the VOD of this and follow him, but apparently his VODs are SUB ONLY. Yeah not paying to watch stream content that is not live with zero interaction. Oh well.

  13. honestly EW dungeons actually use your abilities it feels. shb you have to press buttons and the rest is kinda afk and less stuff to press I already love that ff14 has synced content so you never feel like “I’d love to do a raid with but I’d have to find lower gear” up syncing kinda makes me feel spoiled as a gamer but I’d love to see even more improvements to this game

  14. Need the Ravana fight (MSQ) to be a solo duel. I had a friend who actually quit the game because he was so hyped to duel him, only to find that 7 other people joined up…not much of a “duel”

  15. No meme. Having trust in ARR will definitely be a factor in easing new, first time MMO players into the game. XIV was my first MMO since like I was 8 years old playing Runescape. And I stopped gaming after like middle school. XIV was one of my first game coming back to gaming. I had zero idea how to play a MMO or what a chat box was or how to even move in game. Let alone all the systems in the game like aggro lists and party lists. It was very overwhelming at first. So having something like the trust system that makes it easier for new players will only add to the long term health of the game.

  16. An MMO trying to cater to people that don't want to play online or with other people is like a steak restaurant trying to cater to vegans, it's a waste of resources and is more likely to alienate and frustrate a part of the existing customer base than it is to draw in the people that simply don't like this type of game/restaurant for what it is.
