  1. The whole 2 weeks for normal then another 2 weeks for Savage after for every raid patch has been a running request from players and influencers for awhile actually. For the sub 1% who just want to blind prog immediately yea it wouldn’t be as great. For the overwhelming majority of players who want to experience story content on patch day and have time to prep their supplies in time for first raid session (most players don’t have slave crafters) we want to have the luxury to do so just like the first tier.

  2. I always love hearing WoW players just enjoy the little fun stuff in FFXIV. Like, these guys are hardcore raiders but they love all the little quality of life stuff.

  3. Takes our static about 3-4 months to clear a tier, doing about 6 hours total per week. So while I personally would love to do it blind, people don't have the time to do that and still clear the tier by the time the next tier comes out or have time for other games. I personally go into every Ex Trial blind and try to prog as far as I can before the guides release to sate my love of blind prog.

  4. Everyone has a different flavor to which they jam to 😀 I’m glad these guys have found an uncommon niche in doin ANY content blind, mine, and/or synced. I started my own static community around the idea 8 months back and it’s super fun. It’s all I do for 1st time experiences and old content.

  5. All truly blind is a privilege for those with a ridiculous amount of time and a big commitment from 8 players who all have to have the same goals and expectations which can be tough to find, because wiping ALOT is tough. When even hardcore players can only commit 12 hours a week between family and jobs, it's just not viable sadly.

  6. First time listening to MogTalk… and looks like I've got quite a backlog to go through now. 😛

Btw, what song is playing in during the intro? Or, remix. I've heard it somewhere. Is it a metal remix of a FFVII song?

  7. The discussion about addons is so fucking dumb.
If you want SE to stop having a grey area when it comes to addons, you are actually asking them to completely ban addons, including things such as ACT.
There is no world where YoshiP and SE blanket allows addons while console players (which is a huge part of the playerbase, not just some side thing) can't use them.
It's a complete antithesis to the way YoshiP wants to run the game.
So use your ACT, use your Cactbot, and stfu about it.
And especially don't come whining when you use fucking UI mods on stream and get sniped because of it. You're not a fucking victim… lol

  8. I know a few statics that run savage completely blind even if they aren't trying to clear super quickly. It's just hard to know about them because they obviously don't join PF, don't watch Twitch in the ~month or so when the tier is fresh, etc.

  9. Me and my team went blind for months with our casual group. We missed alot of raid days so by the end it was very hard to avoid spoilers as it was months after the "acceptable spoiler date" had gone by. Luckily the communities im a part of respect not spoiling as they know Im going blind.

  10. My groups have generally gone semi-blind. We'll start blind, try to work things out ourselves, but then check other strats after a few sessions. Get most of the fresh feeling without spending a crazy amount of time progging (as relatively casual)
