  1. Here's hoping this solves the region locking problem. (I have no hope they'll ever address this). As i will likely be paying the extra tax on my subscription when i do not live in the US.

    Keep the subscription model.

    Make one united Square Enix store, with a language switch at the corner.

    Remove region restrictions for expansions, because people move countries, stop assuming your players will live in the country they made their account at forever, that's unrealistic.

    Learn to convert currency, like any other business in the world, including in Japan.

    Instead of creating copy paste versions with different restricted codes, have one copy of everything and simply convert the currency, depending on where people live.

    Treat the expansion codes as basic register product codes and not region specific codes.

    What will happen?

    Happy costumers, less complaints, things will finally work with ease, which is why we make technology in the first place.
    All current account locked expansions will be rendered the same as any other and expansion restrictions will no longer be applied.
    People will be able to change their account information with ease, because now it'll simply be a required formality.
    People will be able to give you money.

  3. I'm now a victim of the mogstation too. My sub ran out yesterday due to lack of funds. Tried to sub today but it won't except my visa debit. I've tried adding crysta but it won't accept payment. Tried Amazon pay and paypal but I get an error. What the hell Square Enix, please take my money!

  4. I'm not sure why they wouldn't add PayPal as a direct option. You can add payment options to PayPal that they can't otherwise accept and they will still get paid.

    It's a win-win.

  5. This company is awful, I am so angry right now and it's not even for myself but for my wife. She has an NA account and she now lives in a EU country. She wrote a ticket to square enix support and they essentially told her straight up: "We're oh so sorry for your inconveniance, but in order to resolve this the best solution is to create a new EU account and start over." She has played from mid ARR and has grinded a ton of achievements and mounts and minions and tons of glams and even spent a significant amount of money on cosmetics in the mogstation throughout the years. Start over? F this company. If it was just me I would have quit already as I firmly believe in voting with my wallet, but she loves this game. These bandaid solutions are an absolute disgrace. I have never ever seen a company that is worse at taking your money than Square Enix is and you would think that for a profit driven company, that would be top priority.
