Mischief | FFXIV: Shadowbringers MSQ [7]

After hearing of the Eulmoran Army capturing Minfilia, we cooperate with the Crystarium to launch an offensive on the Eulmorans before they take their flight back to Eulmore. Utilizing the natural resources of the nation, the group resolves upon a plan that involves thinning out the Eulmoran outpost’s forces (in a rather peaceful manner) by the means of scattering dream powder, a sleeping agent, from the air via Amaro. Afterwards, with a sizeable portion of the soldiers incapacitated, the Crystarium’s forces charge into Laxan Loft, the location in which the entire operation will take place.

After preparations have been made, the assault carries out with surprising amounts of success. That is, until General Ran’jit makes his personal appearance. Even with the combined forces of Alphinaud, Alisaie, Lyna, and the Warrior of Light, it would appear to be little match for the power that Ran’jit possesses (which is the power of getting Zenos’d). After being defeated, just before the General could adequately secure everyone as captives for transport to Eulmore, Thancred intervenes and stalls enough time for a teleportation spell to be cast on the group for a quick escape. Not to be defeated, Ran’jit decides to prepare himself for what appears to be a superhero leap for a quick re-engagement. But once again, he is interrupted by another character: the Crystal Exarch himself! During their standoff-conversation, it is revealed that our small crew is on our way towards Il Mheg: the Fairy Kingdom; a place that gives pause to even the Eulmoran Army to take chase within.

It is this moment in which we resume our tale. What things will we encounter in this strange land that intimidates even the most intimidating military might in the world?

  1. I personally love this region because of the fact that Square Enix drew on the old Fae lore and showed them how inhuman and terrifying they are. One of my favorite regions and I think you did a marvelous job on the accents. Love your videos Lucron and eagerly await the next playthrough video.

  2. So, go back to WoW before you started FF14, how do you feel? How's the vibe? Did you imagine back then the journey you would take, such as it is? :3
    Was it like you expected?

  3. What Minfillia said isn't that she would spend the energy she'd have used to come back, she said she would spend the energy she'd have used to be born again like an ascian does when he posesses someone. In other words, she said if the girl gets desperate, she could posess her to relieve her but if the girl wants to make this fight her own, the old Minfillia would disappear to lend her her own strength.
One of them has to disappear for the other to be.

  4. Glad you are enjoying the story, as well as the sibling interactions between the twins. Also nice to see someone else who clicks through ALL the gathered NPCs before moving forward with the quest.

Excited to see how you find the next few steps!

  5. Kind of spoilery

Now that I think about it.
If minfillia (the girl) chose to let Minfillia (the old) take her body and come back to us.
How would she had come back with us to the source ?

  6. It's still one of my favourite moments in the game: Urianger talking at length on Grave And Dire Matters ™, and then the very next thing he says is "Sooo… do you like my new outfit?" 😂 I love these videos, your reactions are so great. And I love your voices, even the "terrible" pixie ones. It's just really fun. (It's more than a bit nerve wracking though to see you with the auto-play on and trying to keep up with the dialogue 😅 and no time to react properly to things that are being said)

  7. When it comes to dark and light it's not that one is bad and the other good. They are simply primal aspects and either can be used for good or for evil, you need look no further then our use of the DRK/BLM jobs for a good use of dark and PLD/WHM for a good use of light.

  8. The Astral (Active) Elements are Wind, Lightning, and Fire. Meanwhile, the Umbral (Passive) Elements are Water, Ice, and Earth. As you can see, Black Magic (Fire, Ice, Lighting) is made up of 2/3rds Astral and 1/3rd Umbral, while White Magic (Earth, Water, Wind) is made up of 1/3rd Astral and 2/3rds Umbral.

  9. Man, you don't know how happy I was to see you recognize the aurucite immediatelyl! A majority of other reactors I've seen forgot about it and always asked "what is that?" Always made me scratch my head…

  10. I'm sorry but I have to point out the thing. Urianger never actually wanted you assassinated during the whole Warriors of Darkness thing– that was a ruse to get Ardbert and Friends to fight you. He just needed all the Crystals in one place so he could offer their power to Minfilia and try to save the First (in a way other than letting Elidibus rejoin it.) He's always been on your side. 🙂

  11. Buddy, pal, friend, budderino, if you're struggling with the accents, I beg you, please. DON'T.

Also, for Lyna, it should be something along the lines of icelandic. Playing through the story, I picked up on a definite "scandinavian" but it's neither danish or swedish, idk about norwegian
