  1. not a fan of their "reasonings" i mean they just say "we buffed damage because we think that their damage was not good enough" like ok? i guess
    i actually think that when they make adjustments they dont look at people that are good at the game they probably go for the "average" player and buff accordingly

  2. At this point, it seems like they're working their way towards basically having the game play itself. Unfortunately, it seems like they're trying to cater to the worst players possible with the direction they've been going; especially in regards to tanks.

  4. I've said it before, FF14 combat is at an all time low. Maybe it's the 2 minute burst windows, maybe it's the balancing, maybe it's the fact that healing is horrendously boring, but the combat is just "meh." I'd rather play a single player RPG at this point.

I know it's a meme that they take all of Xenos's ideas when he complains enough but I'm going to believe that his complaining works I know that's probably Copium but please keep complaining about these explinations. They explain so little about what the devs are thinking that they are pretty useless imo.

  6. BLM was already top magical ranged dps "The potencies of certain black mage actions were increased to keep in line with other magical ranged DPS jobs" WHICH ONES? WHERE? OK BUT WHERE THO? It's literally ahead of both other magical ranged dps by a huge margin last tier. World-first teams in both savage and TOP included BLMs, so it's not like that combat-res is really of critical value to prog. Were they aiming for RDM when they wrote the memo to the guy who does these balance changes, but then there was a typo and the dude just buffed the wrong job? Meanwhile SMN is so simple the entirety of the damage variance in SMN players can be attributed to either: A) crit luck (around 1%) B) Literally just dying to mechanics. It's so braindead the new gear includes a SMN weapon with a giant hole where the pages should be.

    Take my fucking res away. Take it. I don't fucking want it anymore if Squeenix are so stupid they can't figure out what its value actually is. Clearly they have no clue. Yesterday I glanced at the balance discord and all the other jobs were discussing the new raids and their potency buffs; the RDM channel was discussing other games. I might just switch to BLM.

  7. "No one cares about an atonement crit"
    Oh I do when I crit 2-3 times in a row. The buff maybe small, but the overall dps increase is actually rather nice.
    Like, per rotation, its a 100 potency increase. So per minute, that's a huge potency increase. Vastly, VASTLY prefer this over "Buff blade spells again" because rn the blade spells are kind of nuts with FoF buff and a DRG battle litany.
