  1. The bit with the music and the catgirl and the hyur wasn’t for new glamour and minions, but a new chapter for the hildibrand questline, a very long chain of quests that’s humoristic. It continued all the way to stormblood, it got cut due to covid in shadowbringers but I think they’re bringing it back for endwalker. It usually rewards minions, emotes and stuff like that. it is funny though.

  2. And yes, Hard modes are different versions of earlier dungeons. All the hard modes in ARR are level 50, as that was the max level back then. They have different layouts and bosses, but they use the same location

Patches are usually really predictable: they add 1 or 2 dungeons, and either a trial, a 24 man raid, or an 8 man raid series ( usually even patches add 8 man raids [endagame] and odd patches add 24 man raids[catch-up, more casual]) and more main story, usually one of the dungeons is main story related. They always add more crafting recipes, and more side content.
