Wouldn't LB2 have accomplished the same end result? That healer still died afterwards lol. It's been ages since I played, I forget if LB2 full heals or not…
LB3 came up a good 4 seconds before people died to doom, would have been an even better recovery if you just used it before they died to the doom. That way the dps could have kept their resources. Still though it was a better call over dying.
My favorite raid, and favorite fight in the game. I have had healers pull this strategy off before. I was starting to talk trash about dieing to doom and then healer LB3… they got my com. Big brain strategy, when compared to my tank brain.

Why not just use limit break to heal the team o_O
Memes aside this is actually the best strategic choice given your lb3 is up/borderline extremely close. Focus on yourself and just lb. Good stuff
And in the end, he ended up right where he started… with his co-healer dead, and everyone else up.
Or you could just LB3 right away to heal them to full and no one dies XD
A smart healer would have used LB3 before doom went off to save everyone the bother of resetting their stacks and gauges.
