Hi Gamers!

Did you know that May 18th is Global Accessibility Awareness Day? It’s okay! Unless you struggle with Accessibility issues, you probably didn’t. I’ve been meaning to make a video highlighting accessibility in FFXIV for a while now, and today seemed like the most appropriate day to just get it done!

  8. I do appreciate that the devs try to continue adding accessibility options. I would prefer more, faster, but I'm not a game dev, so I have little understanding what it takes.

    I sure wish I could get an audio cue when certain cooldowns are back up. My adhd brain struggles with checking timers, so it's definitely something which would be nice

  9. As someone who doesn't need these accessibility options, what comes to mind is making it more accessible for those with little time to play the game. So shorter queue times and more options to play with NPCs instead of other players for all sorts of content, especially older/unpopular content that few players want to do. Playing through the MSQ with the scions/their allies, the trust system, and duty support are a great start, but they could do more. This might also be interesting for people with social anxiety who don't want to play with others. Or for lore enthusiasts who like to take their time, read the comments from the NPCs, or read lore notes in dungeons/trials.

    Maybe exclude current higher difficulty content and all ultimates from trust/duty support, those are meant to be challenging and that will result in less accessibility.

    Still, it's good that the devs add these options to let everyone enjoy the game.
