Make your sheathed weapon glow in FFXIV!

Very short video today! Showing you my trick to get glowing weapon

Macro:
/bm
/sit
/wait 1
/sit

I’ve learned that years ago and it just felt so cool!

Been using it ever since and it just makes you feel good to have another use to your relics than when you fight ^^

Short video indeed~ Needed to relax a bit after all the huge video editing done on my previous videos.

Keeping up a regular video schedule it is!

  1. I play on PS5 and have the sit and unsheath actions mapped to my L3 and R3 buttons (I believe this is the default setting?). So I press unsheath, and within 1 second press the sit button. And hooray, glowing weapon on my back.

  2. just sheathe your weapon+sit+jump, done. macro isnt needed there. you can also activate the "bug" by unsheathing+sit. the "bug" resets everytime you enter a new instance, so only useful if you are afk at your house or in places like limsa, upon switching any area the effect turns off and you have to do again unsheathe/sheathe+sit+jump

  3. FYI: anyone who is close enough for you to be in targeting range will also see the glow. If a player was outside your zone or range when you did it will not see it. Anyone who was in targeting range who leaves it and comes back will still see it but anyone who zones out and back will not.

  4. Funny to see people posting about this, I thought this was widely known and passed around in the FF community. It proves that new people are coming into the game and that, is amazing.
