Samurai is a melee dps class that i would say has a pretty low skill floor
but very high skill ceiling. With the dawntrail update, Samurai plays pretty much the same, but long time players might find that they need some time to get used to the changes if they have muscle memories built for the rotation.
In this guide i will explain to you some rule of thumbs in playing the level 100
Samurai and show you the rotation itself so you can understand it better

thx:D I'll try to level up and use it.
Lol nice crit
Guess who had to re-record and re-edit 10 hrs of work because yoshi'p decided to reduce
Tendo's recast time from 3.2s to 2.5s in 7.01 patch
i've heard ppl say they ruined SAM but i honestly feel like this is the most interesting version we got and i'll explain why i like it. First of all the upgraded versions of the Iaijutsu skill and gaeshi when you use Meikyo feel different thus less repetitive and have more "oomf" to them thus it feels like an important moment in the rotation. To me seeing the same animation too much makes things boring and repetitive. The rest of the changes, like lower CD on the Hissatsu skills and the new oGCD Zanshin overall make the job flow really well imo. Theres not a moment i get bored with the rotation of SAM in DT.
Delay the shoha before the 2 min reopener to have it under raidbuffs and Pot.
Honest question. Where does the "high skill ceiling" on sam come from? Other than uptime which is a thing for all melee. It seems to me like a fairly easy and straight forward joh.
