"Science doesn't know shit." Probably the best sentence for me to visualize a red flag on someone
Bell enters the Meta-verse.
MONK MAIN!!! EZCLAP!! 👊😎
"Trick Attack doesn't count" is very much the words of someone who doesn't Savage. What the fuck are you smoking when you decide to dismiss the various buffs and debuffs each job brings (that multiply with each other substantially, by the way)? rDPS and aDPS are different for a reason. Those damage utilities are absolutely baked in to their total performance, always. People play around this stuff.
NIN is not in a great spot right now, but that is such a bizarre statement to make.
Talking about how jobs are being balanced or need improvements
Looks over at Dark Knight
Please. Help muh boy. He's on life support. Pray for him.
(I know his DPS is still good, but when you have Healers going, "Oh no" he kind of needs a buff)
For the RDM Displacement makes you jump back, and they have Engagement that shares the charges of displacement but doesn't make you leap back.
DRK main here, so yeah, hope 6.1 sees some QoL stuff! I've not had any issues tanking stuff, but the job feels a bit clunky now, especially after WAR got some nice updates.
We're already talking about 6.08 and these guys are just releasing 6.05
It's so funny how people seem to walk on eggshells when it comes to shitting on astrology, which is completely bogus and not scientific. It's accepted in society because women are SO MUCH into it, it's actually crazy how much they buy into this shit.
sad ninja noises I still love my job <3 Not going to switch, but I would like to see a better rotation. Perhaps remove the Rogue archetype and make it two separate classes :3
Wanting to delay dragonsong when ultimate raiders have already been waiting for content for over a year just to spite people is rude as fuck. Ik it’s bait but idc
Just some meta clarifications:
1. Parse differentials are bad for some classes, but not to the extent where anything is unclearable. Lot of people parroted world firsters when they hear "Oh we wouldn't have cleared that with Paladin" etc., but what the WF raiders are saying is "We would not have cleared THAT SPECIFIC RUN with Paladin." etc- which means the dps from just playing a different job covered uptime mistakes or just zombieing through certain mechanics. WF's are going to look for the highest DPS possible because they are all good enough to output clearable DPS with any job, so doing it with the highest dps just makes the most sense because they are RACING. To the rest who are playing it for the clear, these dps differentials don't mean shit. I'm looking at you, grey-parsing Andy's using PLD as a scapegoat in PF. You just suck.
2. Savage content has traditionally been cleared in 24h. It's just an expectation, so we generally don't gauge the difficulty of the tier with the time it was spent. That being said, Thoughts Per Second's consistency the past several races is something of incredible note. They're doing NA proud. Relatedly, new Ultimates are were you get the more WoW-like world first races where it's more about the endurance and not the 24h sprint. The mechanics are usually so dense that just being able to execute them after solving it might take several runs as opposed to savage where you can kind of survive off of mistakes / have a margin of error / on top of the singular fights having a duration where it induces raid killing mistakes at the latter half heavily. It's a spectacle, for sure.
3. Take FF at your pace, Bellular. Savage is out, but you have all the time to BiS out. AND EVEN THEN, BiS is only relevant for the fights they came from and nothing else (unless you're doing Dragonsong War Ultimate on release, which that's also a +1). So that's to say BiS chase is fun, but you get more out of enjoying the fights than having gear, as backwards as that sounds.
One thing you gotta keep in mind, look at the aDPS and rDPS separately. A lot of the utility jobs with high ability to buff other jobs, end up with high rDPS completely due to having team mates that are coordinated and great at their jobs.
The majority of players will never see that good of rDPS with the goobers that make up our statics lmao (or PF randoms).
Please Matt, be careful of what you say. Reaper is easy? Bro, ALL THE CLASSES ARE EASY. Does it take a little more skill to play a class at cutting edge than others, sure, but let's not pretend that's ninja.
Ninja was hard, but then they fixed Raijou. So now it's the same as ShB NIN except one more button to press. I would argue that the hardest class to play at top level are SAM and BLM, because everybody's rDPS depends on YOUR dps not sucking.
If SAM or BLM play bad, everyone fails. So they walk a very thin tightrope when it come to dpsing, but don't act like that's super hard, you just need focus. I'm so tired of how bad people are acting, we cleared P1S first week as a casual Raiding guild that spent a total of 6 hours on raid last week. This week we cleared him in less than 5 tries. The catch? We still need to pug a tank and melee dps due to missing 2 people for our static.
Now imagine being the Dorito on the first fight as SAM with all of the groups responsibility on your shoulders for increasing their dps. The real difficulties is the responsibility, not the class mechanics.
I am so bored by Endwalker´s MSQ, I cannot make it past lvl 81.
NIN was nearly mandatory in raiding/world first since it's release, now it's more niche. NIN needs help but this isn't some grand injustice in the grand scheme of things.
NIN and DNC are still welcome in raids, just not in world first racing.
Aether Group THREE. That's a key detail to their name.
9:35 The moon is actually constantly moving away from Earth
There are some jobs in ff that just don't get as much love as the others. Ninja is my main and even though the devs do a good job of making all jobs viable and unique, you can clearly tell that some jobs are the devs favorite. I don't necessarily think there is anything wrong with it. Biases are normal
I love ff14, but the less playtesting they do has been the most apparent on balance this expansion. They are normally better at it
well to be fair – dark knight has rediculus dps output it j ust isnt that tanky.
A note on expert: you actually get 90 Astronomy, because you get an additional 50 at the end of the dungeon. So you can do 5 Expert Roulettes per week to cap on Astronomy if you don't want to do the entire roulette list
Let's all have a round of applause for the nerf to reaper but also getting buffed with the dancer changes! (Edit) this want me bashing anyone or things like that. This was me liking the synergy and hoping we get more classes playing off eachother.

you can navigate the o ceans with the help of stars, the knowledge on how that was supposed to work, was quite lost up until recently but a small society of navigators in the pacifics is trying to reestablish this forgotten knowledge , the polynesians used to traverse the pacific like that
so if you really wanna stratch it thats astronomy too in na extend
What I've read is esoteric beliefs (including astrology) are on the rise because we have reached a critical mass in the decline of organized religion, at least in the US.
ED: If you did one of these in FF14 it would be hilarious!
I wish they would take more chances in this game. The endgame is seriously lacking. Same rins and repeat every expansion. And the tome cap is beyond terrible. Miss one week and get punished. If they respect your time, they should let you gear up at your own pace. Instead they cap and timegate it. I love the extremes and savages, but the tomes are just bad design.
I'm trying to be as objective as possible. I may be struck with first love syndrome from older mmos, but I still geniunly hope the game will take more chances with the endgame.
And for the love of god. Be open for criticism. Criticism is one of the most valuable assets we humans have.
would be great to give the game a try, however they have stopped selling the game for the time to avoid server overload and its been over a month now!
"Fuck Reaper players. FOTM losers." … if that's supposed to be everyone else's thought on the matter, then ignore the rest of this. if that's your own thought tho, then: wow, Dackor (and/or anyone else jealous of RPR). so they added the job to the game to NOT be played at all, cause it's new and performs well? but here's the kicker: i play it cause of the playstyle and the image fits my character perfectly. and it'd still be my fave, even if it was the lowest parsing dps. so plz tell your jealousy to go F itself.
The thumbnail 🤣🥂🤘🏆💯
It's actually pronounced: Jonathan.
But trick attack
NIN is only in a bad place atm because it's a bit clunky to play. It will ALWAYS be the lowest melee DPS because Trick Attack is so fucking strong. Saying Trick Attack doesn't count flies in the face of the job's greatest strength.
I’m still on post hw 😂
Time to cut WoW content and and cover FF more…
How did yall find the damage ranking chart in your presentation?
And there is always time for WoW
CAN MATT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DRINK SOME WATER BEFORE HE GETS ON MIC. HIS LIPSMACKING IS DRIVING ME UP THE FUCKING WALL JESUS CHRIST I LOVE THIS CONTENT BUT MAN FOR FUCK'S SAKE DRINK SOME WATER DUDE.
FFXIV Players: All that grind and still have time to play other games..
WoW Players: It takes half to a whole month to grind and unlock flying in 9.2 for an expansion I previously unlocked flying for.. what are other games?
So FFXIV was my first mmo and honestly my first play through I sucked so bad lol but I loved it so much that I decided that I’d play through the whole story again but this time level every job, do every savage and every raid. I missed so much my first play through and I wanted to see the story again anyway.
Classic WoW mentality smh
Looking at parses and thinking that's all you need to know if a job is "good"
Watch some raiders and learn how to read parses because this is a cringe video.
Love your videos, but I have to mention this, Matt’s audio volume is always alittle low. Just thought I’d mention it. This is coming from listening on my phone, computer and veichle speakers
Astronomy is science, astrology is 100% made up BS
Stay in school, kids.
"So brutal for Dancers." I feel your pain.
Michael: Are you saying we can remake the office in FF14!?
Desk-kun: Why do I hear boss music.
Michael: SLAM SLAM SLAM
