Finally…..the newest trailer for the next patch in final fantasy 14 has dropped and its time to check out my reaction to it. Im sooooo ready for all the new content that will be released with this patch and am ready to log back in to this mmo, hope to see you all there as well!

  1. Not sure if it's transformed from Azdaja but that's Golbez's Shadow Dragon from FF4. The eastern looking dungeon is the new variant dungeon. Post EW has pretty much been all FF4 love.

    I'm not playing WoW but kinda in a similar boat to you in that I've been pretty much taking a break from FF14 except for patches/expansions. I've been playing since beta (and about a month of 1.0 before I gave up on it) and I love the game but also been playing it for nearly a decade (and I had been burned out on MMOs in general before ARR came along and relit the spark many years ago)

    FYI the audio mix's a bit off so it's hard to hear your talking when the trailer's playing.

  2. i'm not a FFXIV player, but i've played other MMOs before, see what the competition is offering, ya know? WoW however has always had me going back, no MMO has managed to scratch the WoW itch like WoW can. maybe you'll develop the itch as well someday, maybe FF14 gives it's own kind of itch that it only can scratch, no one knows for sure.

    speaking of WoW though, idk if you heard about the next incoming patch, but it's a doozy. Dragonriding in Kalimdor, 3rd spec for the Evoker class, Naxxramas Classic Mogs coming back, including the Corrupted Ashbringer. as a WoW player i am thoroughly excited about 10.1.5

  3. Tis a nod to FFIV, but is indeed Azdaja, look at the horns, and the face of the dragon. Golbez more than likely took her out of that cage and with the depleted Aether, the void more than likely corrupted her (idk if you remember, but things that are very powerful with aether, like us or the great wyrms are unaffected by the void) but if you take all that aether and then are exposed to the void, it more than likely will effect them. Golbez has been draining Azdaja for thousands of years.
