my issue being their original concept of melee jobs are harder to do mechanics, they dont have up times all the time, range physicals dps jobs have permant up time, therefore melee get to do the most dmg and range physicals types do the least. but then, range casters if not are harder to do mechanics compare to melees since those melees got so many dashes, back flips now days, thats right RDM who got both and a heal and a raise are doing some consistent and serious dps out put (in 6.0) , not to mention raid strategies are always in favor of maximize melee up times. Why do melee jobs just get special treated ? to balance out, BKM's dmg in 6.0 should be much higher consider how ez it is for RDM RPR and SMN to do their not too far dps.
The problem that is still an issue today with any job (Tank, healer, dps etc.) is when a boss starts moving, casts from casters and healers will interrupt, even if you're melee and properly facing the boss (Regardless of auto lock on and specific settings) while it's moving any gcd doesn't seem to go off and cancels it self. A good example is when Asahi is running toward Tsukuyomi during adds intermission. To clarify this doesn't happen a lot, it mostly tends to happen when a boss moves on its own rather than a tank moving the boss themselves.
Itâs the same shit with how BLM can move in their leylines but NIN has to stand still to use TenChiJin or itâs canceled. It doesnât make sense lol
That's just non-sense. Practice where your character should face at optimal time and stop that stupid whining, the game literally has mechanics built around it.
it's not auto turn fault tho you can see how much distance your skill can be cast/use until it get interrupted blm has a 25y distance so everything exceeding that 25y distance casting will be cancel it's been there since 1.0 tbh so if you see a boss walking while ur casting check ur skill bar if an smol X logo suddenly appear on it's lower left/right depending on ur setting anything ur casting will be canceled
EDIT: so i rewatch his video 5more times because i can't really understand what he's saying but im guessing this is the instance a boss teleported to his back while casting and it cancelled his cast time yes this happen because you lost ur main target when the boss teleported behind you try auto lock on target might help you with ur problem only prob im having from blm is when a boss exceed cast range distance and it also cancel casting
