If the side quests are so bland that you feel like skipping them was needed, wouldn't it of been better instead to make the side quests good?

(Really love FF14. Been playing for at least a year now and eagerly awaiting Endwalker so the story that began in A Realm Reborn can FINALLY end and we get a new story to work with in the future)

Game was boring, story was drawn out and dry, the skills you get are boring to look at and use. The bosses are just Simon says fights that feel no different from a memory game rather than a fight. If I have to put enough hours into a game to beat 3 other games in order for the game to 'get good', then its not a good game, its a bad game with a good ending. The races are goofy as all hell, most story quests feel like they have no connection to any important part of the story. Spending hours just running back and forth talking to people. Its THE WORST START I e ever experienced in an mmo, pure and absolute unadulterated boredom. The people that wanted me to play this game don't do anything but hunt for cosmetics as they've gotten just about all the end game stuff, which means the game has no real replayability for its content unless you like to look fancy. Beautiful boss fights are kinda pointless if I have no desire for their shit. Put in 20 hours into this game and had 0 fun. I played with friends and the more they talked about what the endgame was, I was even more disinterested. All they talked about was cosmetic bullshit. The early game is a desert absent of content. O can do more in the first 5 minutes of glover than I can I. The first 5 hours of this game.

Trust me… as someone who only started near the end of 2020, there is a LOT of stuff to do. Including activities that I haven't even reached. That and a few days ago, I finished the Stormblood main campaign.
Once you get into Shadowbringers, that's where the real fun begins

Game went from being amazing.

Game was scaled fine before, it was an mmorpg. You went on an adventure and leveled.
Now they just tell you you're on an adventure and you spend your time teleporting from town to town.
As a FFXIV Player: YES. YES IT IS. However, ARR is kinda sloggish to get through, but once you reach Heavensward, it's absolutely amazing.
The Viera race is based off of the FFXII Viera race.
PvP is only doable after server reset…nbow should be better with the moogle tomestone event.,..i got instant que and player around 20 matches in a few hours 🙂

Test your patience on using the free trial and do the Main scenario quest of the base game
the game is based on the story, 80% of the contents are locked behind the story so if you are a patience person this game for you then.
Classes/jobs.
In ffxiv you can have 1 character but play all jobs/classes.
most jobs of FFXIV are balance and have their own specialty, for example, Black mage specialty is Dealing Ridiculously high damage but sacrifice mobility and team utility while bard and dancer damage is way lower than black mage but it has lots of parties utility.
PVE contents
The major of PVE contents is Trials and Raid, at higher difficulty both of those provide extreme challenges that require team communication.
Crafting.
all of the crafting in FFXIV actually useful and is a money printer, most of the rich players are crafter so if you are a type of crafter player and not into hardcore difficulty contents you can get rich really fast.
No it's not because of the fact they have updating graphics, they only offer the male hero stuff, and they go out of their way to make females look like males with the exclusion of certain clothing because the size and features of the female change with each clothing

Class system In this game boring – feeling that you play same with only other weapon and some new animation
And the worst of this game – Gameplay – its soooo bad… The only interesting thing In battle You have to do – run from Red area
Leveling is leveling, slow and not really that fun, but as soon as you can get a small group, or you have the money to buy exp food, you are good. At some point you can start doing dailies, which are dungeon runs. They are an easy way to get exp. One thing I would like tto add: As a DD class, you are BOUND to WAIT forever in queues. There are too many DD classes compared to tank and healer classes, so queuing for a dungeon or a raid can take some time. But there are many people that love to pick up newbies and help them with that. I for myself play tank and healer and like to help new players.

Realm reborn isn't slow if you skip dialogue
they did cut some of the unneeded quest from the arr story, tho players wants more removed, as for me i experienced the 100 quests myself :S
to the Limit Break abilities, yes the 1 and 2 bar ones are animations for each role
LB 3 is a unique REALLY fancy animation for each class
yeah PvP just doesnt get love, and everyone has the same skills. You dont gain more, but u actually get some skills in there that are from the newest expac
crafting is a VERY big thing, same as gathering. they make the buffood and stuff u use for raids and all the housing stuff….

the queues are a standart thing since SHB, the big queues are obviously on patchdays.
but watch out when Endwalker drops, the highest I had at Shadowbringers launch was already over 2k, that is given to be even higher in fall.
with raids there are actually 2 kinds, the alliance raids 3 groups of 8 people in the same instance…. it gets very chaotic there
and then the general raids, 8 people where you need a lot of coordination for some things

I cant lie im about to start tomorrow, its downloading as we speak. I want to see if its worth all this hype, too many people told me to start, too many of my friends have gone MIA due to this game so im about to start my MMO journey with FF14.
Note that healers are mostly required to DPS since many attacks can be evaded or mitigated. So there is a holy trinity, but I had many people coming in thinking they could play a dedicated healer and having parties yelling at them for not DPSing
