  1. That´s why I like games like Dark Souls, because put "bad players" in their feets, and make them be good players, beause they have no other choice , and they learn in the hard way.

the classic. What is DarkSouls? Bahh, another ACTION RPG GAME.. yeah.. sure.. tutorial? why should i do it? Just play and…YOU DIE. yeah, you die becasue you took for granted .xD

  2. To be fair, Asmongold is still fairly new and there is a lot of stuff he would need to learn/get the hang of, and overall, he does adapt quickly and does keep a positive attitude during the fight even if things go south to turn things around (at least from what I've seen). So he does get carried a few times, but he improves if he sees the mistake so he isn't a bad player but a learning player.

  3. non-boosted players are 99% garbage, boosted players are 50/50. Its just a weirdchamp coping mechanism. People that refuse to learn how to play the game will be bad whether they boosted or spent their 300 hours reading dialogue boxes.

  4. GW2 intimidated me a LOT. Tried elementalist for my first character and saw 20 base skills, 5 for each element + 5 character specific skills. And those 20 skills changed for EACH DIFFERENT WEAPON. I was literally thinking I'm NEVER going to be able to memorize this s***. I went for an easier class lol.

  5. HERES THE OTHER THING. IF YOU ARE NOT DOING WELL BY THE STANDARD AND YOU TELL SOMEONE YOU DONT CARE OR TELL THEM OFF WHEN THEY TRY TO GET YOU TO DO BETTER. DONT BE BUTT HURT AND CALL NAMES WHEN THEY DONT TAKE YOU TO RAIDS IN WOW OR FF14…… YOU'VE GIVEN UP THAT ACCESS. sorry for caps i got through all that then realized it was on. I'm not going back and retyping XD

  6. Regardless of if you boost or not, it all comes down to how much effort you're willing to put into it.

There are people who boost who put in the time and effort to learn the boosted job and do fine.

There are people who level up to 80 naturally but just don't bother, becuase the game does not require you to ever get good at a job to progress. You can be carried through story dungeons/trials and the solo instances are easy enough to get through without really becoming good at a job.

It doesn't matter if you boost or not, it matters if you put in effort.

  7. Just to harp on defining how good you are by parses and dps numbers.. MOST people at the top of parses get there by doing fights over and over and over to get the perfect kill time, buff alignment, luck on crits etc… Many more things go into how good a player you are including how fast you learn mechanics,, how CONSISTENT you pull off mechanics (You can get a 99 parse but if you wipe the group the 20 pulls before that then guess what you are shit at the game), etc etc

  8. FF14 seemed much more forgiving to newer players messing up mechanics but on the flip side wow definitely has a larger portion of mechanically sound players but the tend to be absolute spergs. I think it just comes down to the type of players each game attracts with the storyline driven content and the fast paced reactive playstyle.

I'm generally pretty forgiving of most newer players but if it's an issue of laziness from a veteran MMO player I'll just kick them out of the raid for being a lazy pos.

  9. Just because you are doing something wrong does not mean you are an idiot.
People have probably spent 1-10K hours being wrong and they are giving you the ladder to succeeding.
Stop sulking because you didn't figure it out and accept the ladder.
This goes for everything that you are learning.
There are people who might perform worse than you but also be more knowledgeable.
So don't dismiss people from their performance either. They might just be boomers.

  10. My dad literally mouse clicks this attack bar buttons then clicks on the enemy. He’s gonna not be great at MMOs ever for that. Still enjoys em a ton though, and great on the economy and farming side though

  11. Just hit Endbringers as black mage after playing WoW as Arcane mage since Pandaland (two two classes have a lot of correlation) and this video made me look up slidecasting for the first time. I've been doing it accidently, but probably not nearly as much as a probably should.

Also this makes me think of my guild when we were raiding in Pandaria. I sucked as mage. Didn't know what I was doing and that was a time where arcane mage was actually really good. One person in the guild showed me the basics on play arcane mage and where to go to get more information (I had no idea). After a break during WoD, these tips got me into another guild where I was able to take down Sargeras.

  12. Asmond shows us how good players can be bad here. Raids are group games, and they are dynamic. A good player adapts, a bad player tells you how others are failing the group. You see a lot of this in all of the guides. They do not tell you rotations that allow you adapt, or where to break up rotations to be able to recover. Hitting a target dummy is helpful, but it doesn't teach you how to work with others. Asmond here shows us a classic bad player: most people complain, and it is because they are shitty. Setting up an excuse before the first fight. Put him in a group 7 other players like him, he is probably fine. He is only average at being the prick we expect from streamers of course, but he will always hate the game he is playing, because he blames his own failings on anyone or anything not him. Hopefully he can find some fun outside of his constant homophobic dick commentary, but history says his chances are very small 🙁

  13. Asmongold is gold, that is all there is Asmon about it.
as an avid MMO player, I've only been disgusted by a scholar telling me he was "Doing damage to heal"
    Wah da fuq

  14. the amount of people that like and watch this and the sheer volume of liberal ideological bullshit pervading it's way into every nook and cranny of all aspects of society, both virtual and physical leads me to believe the conspiracy theories are true lol

  15. Nah Asmon is like top 30 percent. He was blind progging hard content while not really knowing what he was doing and would be really good after reading some guides. Zepla on the other hand isn’t really in a position to judge who’s good or bad. Don’t get me wrong she’s not terrible and she did really well to clear TEA, but she’s not really the authority on FF14 that she makes out. If not for Asmon most wouldn’t have heard of her.

  16. I was just fighting Titan for the first time, as a Bard, and our healer kept getting knocked off the arena and dying, four times in a row, even after knowing about it. Rather than criticize him for it, I tried to keep the tone positive and asked if there was anything we could do to help, and he himself acknowledged that he was the one screwing up. We managed to win the fight the next attempt, and it was great. Sure, it might have taken significantly more time to clear, but I had a much better experience than I would have if I had left and cleared the trial quickly.
