Years after clearing The Baldesion Arsenal, I’m being dragged back to Eureka Anemos to start finishing up the Stormblood relics. These things might take longer than any other relics. Can I finish them before Dawntrail? Let’s find out!

Don`t throw away the T-Rex Horn if you get multiple, you can vendor them for 1000gil
17:20 Someone has watched one too many episodes of Dungeon Meshi!
Gotta wonder why there's a price on the mount, when you can't even vendor sell it xD
I think it would be funnier if he said "I'm Cider Spider, better known as That Angry Baby" lol ^w^
Best QoL discovery : the autotarget function, really handy in raids when the boss becomes untargettable then targettable again. You can just mash your GCD like a lunatic and the game will automatically target the boss without having to click it yourself.
wouldn't really say that the Wind-up Mithra is worthless. It's good for the weekly Verminion grind in Gold saucer. Just use Wind-up Mithra and plow through "Little Big Beast" Can knock out 5 games of verminion and complete the weekly challenge in 10-15 minutes
Talin poolgard is a blessing to the crystal eureka community
Right click then discard and yes is a little faster than dragging and dropping, I've found
I keep all my low level materia to transmute into gathering/crafting using the known trick. Makes me sad to see them vendored 😂😢
this baby criminal AF
I like that they added the 'undo sort' option for those times when I accidentally misclick 'sort' and fuck up my carefully placed inventory
The setting that impacted me the most is difficult. I've set up controller settings and fixed my screen. But I think one of the best ones was turning off the mount music. Why? That f**** chocobo theme. Good for the first few times. But after spending HOURS going back and forth through ARR areas without flight. Turning that off was amazing.
Good luck on getting all achievements. It takes a minimum of 7.5 years (levequests) due to time gating.
Personally my favorite QoL is the limit ring distance so when I ninja dash it doesn't go past the max distance
For the question, being able to alter the order of my subcommands has been nice.
STILL SMALL tho
Talking about eating the scorpion…
Have you been watching Delicious In Dungeon?
Biggest quality of life setting? Character based movement! Aka, fuck backpedaling! I want my character to actually turn around and run when I press s, not slowly inch away.
I can run at full speed doing wall 2 walls, while looking behind me to see all that angry horde that wishes to eat me!
I can dodge gaze attacks by just simply pressing s after an attack, so I have 100% attack uptime while still dodging gaze attacks 99% of the time.
Only minor thing to note is that I have long since had the capability to automatically adjust wasd to move in a direction no matter what the camera is facing. So I can swing my camera 180, and my muscle memory just switches from pressing w to s, while not skipping a single step in the direction I was going. If this is not casual muscle memory to you, this might be a bit jarring.
man i love the sound effect of defeating things…. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAArgh
Crystal is the nicest when it comes to Eureka, so this farm should be a breeze over there
Best quality of life feature I found was not letting gear go to the armoury chest directly, it instead goes to the inventory. This is insanely useful to keep it clean and it's faster to get to gear I want to desynth, since that's what I do with all of the gear I get nowdays.
hovering over an item, right click, sort inventory changed my life
PROTIP: When you open the 1000s of lockboxes, the NPC right there at the pier that sells replica Eureka relics will buy your vendor trash. The gil adds up fast dumping the tons of duplicate furnishingsclothescrap materia etc.
QOL? The amount of HUD customization is one of the best things.
Looking forward to watching the months and months of Pagos light grinding next. Ahh I miss the easy days of Anemos…..
Helping Cider get through all of Euerka is still one of my favorite moments when he started streaming. Sure I got the clear as well, but being part of what we dubbed the "Mad Baby Five" was great. Plus being involved in the first BA clear was a great feeling.
I would suggest keeping an eye on certain big fish, that are notorious for having rare windows. Like Ealad Skaan is so infrequent and so short a window, it shows as 0.0% uptime. The cursed egg, Cinder Surprise, only has 7 windows until Dawntrail. It absolutely sucks waiting on these fish when they're your last ones
17:23 Not sure about frying scorpions, but you can certainly Broil them!
Like the Scholar spell?
I'll see myself out
I keep my inventory on Expanded! For me, four pages is too much, but all the inventory on one page makes my eyes hurt 😅.
"bro is the tank pulls out of the sacred soil…" MOOD BRO
By the way, youre mentioning quality of life changes, the biggest one i found was messing with the w cross hotbar for controller. I know its like. Really common but i didnt know about it until very recently and i also didnt know double tapping triggers got you a different hot bar so i have been raw dogging right bumper switching since the beginning of this game lmao
I LOVE Eureka!
yeah i also prefer it being pages, when it's expanded my brain can't parse what i'm looking at so i gotta use the normal pages
literally until watching this video i did not know about that open all inventory option.
My partner recently taught me how glamour plates work so im finally putting outfits together
you can actually put all of your inventory pages on one screen, idk if you know
the most quality of life thing i've done in this game is make target placement a double tap on the button i use. like i have asylum (whm) set to q so i just hit qq and it puts it down wherever my cursor is. based as fuck saved raids
As someone who doesn't play FFXIV and just likes the funny deep voice angry baby, what's the joke with Dragoon that people keep referring to? Is that not a class in XIV, or does it not have achievements like other classes? What about Blue Mage?
Favorite qol thing for me would be user macros. As a tank main, having easy to use shirk or nascent flash on the other tank is super useful for not fumbling, since i play on controller.
Untradeable, but sellable to NPCs. My Doman reconstruction is built from the scraps of Amenos lockboxes.Timber? Recycled wardrobes. Leather bits? Recycled amenos gloves. Cushions? Recycled Amenos shirts. They paid me DOUBLE what the rest of the world would pay. Idiots! (I did not open 2800 lockboxes at once.)
The greatest QoL feature is one I personally requested and they added into the UI about a year later. You can sort the list order of your retainers. Now my botanist, miner, and fisher retainer are all next to each other, and the battle retainers are below them.
The submit duplicates option for retainers is the biggest QOL improvement that I can think of for me.
The hotbar micro where you can expand more hotbars in a single button, it lets you shove all the classes into one button on your screen
