  1. If you do move beyond the Free Trial, you'll probably find that Shadowbringers and Endwalker to have special meaning for you.

Chances are we'll never meet in-game, but I'll keep an eye out for your Monk and wish you a strong recovery, I welcome you fellow Warrior of Light!

  2. I'm glad to see you enjoy this as I myself enjoyed my time with the game over the years. It's interesting to see someone approach it from a role playing and lore perspective and not for raiding and or more unsavory rp purposes. I've been playing since around the launch of 2.0 and the game has gotten stale for me recently and I don't see myself coming back for the new expansion but I'm more then happy to watch your videos on game/lore. Welcome back and I hope you recover quickly!

  3. Hey …
welcome back from a "grimdark" place…

About your removed "piece of meat" mine looked like a very yellowish chicken breast but a little bigger what did your tumor look like?
Did they allow you to take it with you?
I wasnt allowed…they send it all to the lab.
They told me its always like this…😢

  4. Welcome to the wonderful world Eorzea Grimdark. I'm personally over 800 hours in, if there's one thing I'd praise the most in FF14 is the story. I obviously won't drop any spoilers but I will say that it's one hell of a ride.

  5. I was in a toxic workplace and was anxious to the point where I can't sleep for days. My friend took me fishing around this game to just chill for a while. Just carried me around on their mounts to fish in different locations. I like how everyone in game just minded their own business while I enjoyed the sounds of the rain and can just breath for a while. I absolutely expected to get griefed but nope. People even quietly joined in and we had a little fishing party in south shroud. Surrounded by glowing crystals, flowing water, fishing buddies and the rain. I know what you mean by being able to fall asleep to this game.

In game I'm a cat with war wounds from 1.0 who needs lots of downtime between saving the realm. Her goddess is Halone, which comes out in her fighting spirit when duty calls 💪. But mostly she just enjoys the beautiful world which somehow manage to pull through the destruction 1.0. It's really the little things that makes life living for.

I know you probably have people guiding you, but don't forget to do Coils 😀

  6. I also play a Highland Hyur. Kind of viewed him as more of a Scotsman or Celt. Went the Conjurer route as it seemed Druidic, and Picked Nymeia the Spinner. A little irritated that after a certain time of being a White Mage, all the naturey aspects of the Conjurer are kind of whited out, so to speak. You can't even just play the Conjurer either, because half their spell advancements are tied to White Mage.

  7. The fact that you're taking your time to learn the lore and story, getting into character, and reading the dialogue means you're going to have a very rewarding experience! FFXIV is the only game I know of that every little thing feels like a living world with a meaningful payoff, but nothing feels like it existed for the payoff, so it hits and feels a little more real.
There aren't a lot of people I know who like Conan and FFXIV. Can't tell you how happy it made me to see this vid.
