A Few editing errors in this video.
I apologize, Im learning a new editing software and Didn't notice these until post.
1. The Correction at 8:15 was meant for earlier in the video when I spoke about the mounts. The Correction was for 7:57.
2. There is a 2 second black screen at the start. That wasn't Intentional.
3. The end screen is in mono instead of stereo. Will fix that for next weeks video!
Thank you so much for watching! Hows your new year been so far?

Nice video, thanks for the speech
To each is own
I started GW2. Picked up XIV around ARR launch. Quit XIV at Dawntrail, but I’m sure they’ll do something that brings me back. GW2 has always been my steady. Can just jump back in any time with no need to catch up to anything. Just play at my own pace. It’s refreshing as a palette cleanser next to XIVs constant treadmill grind.
I switched to BDO. I also tried GW2 but it just wasn't my cup of tea, it felt dated.
Both are amazing for sure. Playing gw2 for three years now (almost got a burnout, to be sincere) and decided to try FF14. Just testing, but for sure both have a lot of pros and cons. Personally, I would love to have that UI customization and gear aesthetic from ff14 on gw2. On the other side, I would like to have feeling of exploration and pvp (mostly, wolrd vs world, when we can enter on big zerg fights) from gw2 on ff14.
There are things that both games can learn from each other. FF14 has a much better and stronger raiding and dungeon experiences than GW2 does. FF14 also has a masterfully told story up through Endwalker, while Dawntrail was a bit of a letdown, I feel like nobody in the gaming industry has done a post major world ending crisis story right.
Guild Wars 2's open world is always active. There are always events that people actually stay around to do. FF14's open world always feels so very dull to me unless I'm gathering materials for my crafting professions. Barely anyone stays around to do FATES after launch on the latest maps unless they need that particular event for a relic weapon (like ARR's very painful relic grind). GW2 is also horizontal progression instead of vertical like FF14's is. You cap out on gear at Ascended. Everything else is up to your player skill level instead of your item level. However, that said, I find the combat in GW2 very messy when in large 50 man group instanced content like Convergences. It is nowhere near as structured as FF14's is, but that in and of itself has its own charms too.
Both games are great. I sub to FF14 on and off because its story keeps pulling me back. GW2; however, is my main MMO since its launch. Totally agree that both games shine in their own ways.
Won't touch GW2 until they start making all living stories for free. They are selling DLCs for DLCs. Thats not okay.
