  1. Glad you were able to come back and enjoy yourself. I'm sorry to hear about the drama and your friend. Guild drama is the worst.

And ya, with each expansion/era of the game, it has two parts to the main story. The first is the story that came with the launch of that expansion/era (2.0, 3.0, etc) and the second part is the patch content released between expansions (every expansion has 5 major patches with main story content). So for each expansion, there will be credits roll for when you complete X.0, and then again when you complete the patch content of the expansion with X.5. They're all like that, with the only notable difference between them is that all the patch content for the expansions are not as long as the ARR patch content.

I agree it can be frustrating starting out when you want to use all of your abilities but get synced down. However it's kind of one of those damned if you do, damned if you don't things. If they didn't sync it like that, then the people who are way higher level with more abilities would just blow everything up super fast and newer/lower level players would basically not get to play the game. Even if they tried to only scale numbers down and let you keep your abilities, just having that much more abilities would overpower everything. I've played other mmos that do that and it also feels bad, just in a different way.

I look forward to seeing your content. And I hope I can play with you sometime with data center travel now being a thing. I think when you were talking about training dummies, you were trying to unlock stone, sky, sea? Maybe I can help you figure that out sometime.

  2. If you're talking about Stone, Sky Sea you might have had that issue because you have to unlock the original version in Idyllshire before the quest for the Endwalker one unlocks. No idea why they made it like that.

Also yeah the story does get much better in Heavensward. It dips a little bit in quality in the .0 of Stormblood but picks up again in the patches and only gets better from there. Hope you have fun with FF.

  4. Huh, I never knew the Level Boosts and Story Skips gave you such a skeleton account. I guess that's another reason why skipping and boosting isn't a good idea on your first time through.

  5. Welcome back to FF :3 , Hope u like Heavensward expansion , And yeah boosting sucks ass cuz u need go back to old content and start unlocking basically everything and that is a lot of time consuming for unlock every ex trials, savage raids , dungeons , all this blue quest for aditional content is a lot to do and not worth boosting , since on your way leveling up is so easy to unlock all of this, And as far as iknow every job on older content prob around 60 and below is a pain since majority of the jobs dont have that much rotation on that levels , the only job broken like say and with a lot of rotation is Dancer probably the best job at any level with a lot of spells , And is funny cuz i quit wow about 1 month ago and back to my love FF , the gameplay and the satisfaction of doing hardcore content is just amazing , i got bored of wow this time definitely with braindead mechanics on any pve content tbh , Anyways xd hope u really enjoy the game and make some amazing friends ♥ some love for the sprout people :3
