  1. Zodiac relics are incomparably faster now with data travel, I remember taking like a week to finish one book because fate was never spawning in my playtime window

  2. I'm gonna feel bad saying this… but apparently the most efficient way to get light is to see which one has the bonus out of the three dungeons.
Tam-tara, Stone Vigil, and Aurum Vale.

You unsync all three of them and you spam the one that gives you the "blinding" bonus that shifts every two hours that's better than the brilliant light that you were getting spamming Aurum Vale.

…man I can't believe you actually hit the duty cap.

  3. The best way I've found to farm these is to do it with 2 other people. Every book has 3 FATEs, so you just have one person sit in each zone. None of the FATEs up? Queue for a dungeon. FATE up? Everyone goes to do it and then goes back to their designated zone. Rinse and repeat. It's great.

  4. I find it silly that SE hasn't just axed the gil drops from ARR/HW dungeons instead of imposing that silly duty limit because they don't exist in SB onwards, but have historically been one of the most heavily farmed sources of gil for bots.

The drops are too small to be meaningful to normal players so I kind of doubt anyone would actually miss them.

  5. I've been working through these recently and here is what I've found:
    * Thornmarch Extreme is the best way to farm light and mahatma. One run takes just under 30 secs on most classes and gets you 32 light. Arum Vale takes at least about 2:45 and only gets you 48 light. This makes Thornmarch Extreme way better than Aurm Vale, even if you are getting the bonus and getting 96 light per run. That's still only 3 Thornmarch Extreme runs at 1:30. Similar thing for Mahatma. Should only take you three 30 sec runs each (although I was getting them done in 2, maybe it was bonus) , which is much faster than a single Arum Vale run.
    * For leve quests, another way to handle it is to visit all three, accepting the ones that are available. Once you have checked all of them, complete one and then re-check any that were not available. Repeat until all are complete. I've I haven't had to complete a single unnecessary leve quest out of 5 relics using this method.
    * Check fates first, then do other parts of the books while waiting for any that were not up. Odds are they will spawn before the rest of the book is complete. World hop after this if there are any remaining.
    * You may have to try to manually spawn the "Surprise" fate of Skywind I by completing other fates in the area as this will fail after 1 minute of spawning, so is difficult to just find up just by chance. It's still worth giving it a chance to spawn first. E.g., stay above the spawn point while completing the dungeons, and check it after killing the required enemies in each area.
    * If doing multiple relics, 10 of the 16 dungeons for the Braves stage quests overlap with the dungeons required for the books, and are in a compatible order. Once unlocked, the Braves stage quests can be completed at any time and do not require you to be any specific class or have a relic weapon equipped. After your first relic, you can start the Braves stage quests while doing the books, or even complete them for later relics. You can order the books so you can actually do two sets of quests per one book phase but you only get 7 out of 16 overlapping for the second set, so I'd only recommend doing one set of quests per book stage.
    * If you think you will complete a relic at some point, make a list of all the materials you can buy for them with tomes and seals and just spend your excess on them to avoid capping. It can save a lot of effort when you actually get to starting a relic. This applies more to HW than ARR, but can still help.

  6. Great video, Rinon. I did the NIN weap myself and a BLM one and can tell you your chat definitely did you a favor. Maybe unintentionally because they wanted you to suffer but optimized you can finish Aurumn Vale with NIN in like 1:09 or even faster. And the weapon looks the best imo from all ARR ones. Even better than the Ultimate daggers of any Ultimates. With BLM it would've been major pain to farm fates AND run Aurumn AND do books. I thought you're on Light not Chaos. Thanks for the p12s guide it's pretty standard here.

  7. I've done like 4-5 Zetas and the last 2 were a breeze because of World travel. It makes Books so much faster it's a night and day difference. I think my last weapon I finished in 2 days.

  8. My problem with this weapon is… I have Bard until when you do the Zodiart version and I didnt do it because, hell, wasnt interested in that skin, easy as that, I like my harp bow – though I cant really use it for glams because I cant put it in the glam dresser because its a relic and I cant put it in there, so I cant make it part of a glam plate, therefore cant put it on my character for the character portrait (because it would reset) … and for some reason, I cant continue any of the other weapons. I did them all, or most, until the first glow stage, then lost/discarded them, and cant continue a single one of them -.- I would like to do it, yeah, but somehow its bugged -.-

… F it, there must be a way XD Say what you will about the grind but these weapons are gorgeous 🙂
