  1. 05:58 nope, my favourite vote for aurum vale is not a troll. this dungeon is completeable in 8 mins, since it's not wall-to-wall blocked as most dungeons are.
i agree it is harder than most dungeons due to various reasons, but it is utterly satisfying speeding through the dungeon. also a lot of ppl farmed blue mage kupo stones there (though i never did)

  2. Favourite, Another Sil'dihn Subterrane : im a raider and got the mount on my 2nd clear
Least favourite: most are so generic now could go anywhere but probably Stone Vigil these days however in ARR it was good due to having bloodbath. So actually my vote also goes Stone Vigil hard for that 2nd boss alone

  3. I can fully agree with Ghimlyt Dark and Mt Gulg being among the top dungeons, but my favorite at present is Holminster Switch. It's just as thematically excellent as the prior mentioned Dungeons, but for me it was elevated in a sudden moment of familiarity that drove the horror further. I do a bit of walking in the countryside and after defeating the first boss and cresting the hill the scene was eerily familiar to paths I'd walked in real life and the absolute horror of seeing it going up in flames and monstrosities hit me so hard I actually stopped in my tracks to take in the scene.
You could argue it's unfair to always pick on ARR for having the worst dungeons, but they are among the most actively boring or even aggravating dungeons. Thousand Maws of Tot-rak and Dzemail Darkhold may have had their edges taken off but they are still actively boring, not helped by not having many abilities to use so you even feel hobbled.

  4. so the game now is ran by crybaby cat moms who only like shadowbringers's dungeons because of this gaslit story? sad it shows that innovation in this game is dead…this game is just going to make every dungeon shadowbringers like solely because of the idiot cat moms and alphabet "eligibility" people who pretend that the game need more graha or forced memes down our throats….shit

  5. Favorite; Aetherochemical Research Facility – probably my favorite part of Heavensward, including the stuff immediately afterwards

Least favorite; Neverreap – minus a very unfortunate experience i had involving a very cruel random White Mage abusing them, the KNOCKBACKS AND LEDGES ON THE BOSSES RAAAAAGH

  6. I'd be interested to see this sort of vote again but specific to each expansion for each vote. One for ARR, one for HW, etc.

Would be cool to see how the earlier dungeons would do without the newer dungeons pulling votes away.

  7. Hello Mr.Happy
    Thank you for the video.
When I sat down to decide which is my favorite and least like dungeon, I actually struggled more than I thought I would. But in the end, I managed to make my choices. Also, I noticed that as you noted, "good" mechanics, bosses and fight designs, didn't matter too much to me. When I think about it, imo that is not really what dungeons are for.
They are of course for story, but also, I see them as almost like, for lack of a better term, picknics or city trips. Something casual you can just enjoy, and often with friends. If I want to "play a game" or do mechanics, I go to other types of content.

    Favorite:
I should preamble and say "most" favorite, as there are quite a few very close contenders here, and it was very hard to pick when I started to think about it. But in the end, it ended up being neck and neck between Ktisis Kyperboreia and The Twinning, with quite a few just behind, many obvious contenders. And finally, I picked Ktisis Kyperboreian as my favorite, the one detail that edges it a fraction ahead of The Twinning is the Duty Support team you run the dungeon with. Getting to do a dungeon with Emet, Hythlo and Venate struck a deep cord with me when I played it on launch. That said, I was sleep deprived as hell during that time, so yeah, may have affected my experience of it. But in the end, this little detail put it just slighty ahead for me.

    Least liked:
Again, it was a rather tough choice when I started to think about it, but in the end, I noted that the thing that mattered most to me here, was mechanics or tasks that I find an absolute chore and or pain doing again and again and again. So unlike for what is best, design mattered to me for what is worst. I had a few obvious contenders here, Fell Court of course, but imo at least you still do stuff with your character on that first boss, so it is not too bad for me. It ended up being Bardam's Mettle for me.
I did also heavily consider Stone Vigil (Hard), as I abhor that damn Turtle and those damn cannons <.<. But in the end, at least you are still doing stuff, and if you have a team that knows what they are doing you can speed it up quite a bit. Meanwhile, in Bardam's Mettle, that second boss, where you do not even DO anything, will forever be at the same pace, with the same mechanics, happening at the same time, with the same solution and the same movements over and over and over again…

I hope this helps your statistics, keep up the good work "I enjoyed watching, you won't see me, but I'll see you next video. And you take care too" :p

PS: I really hope this ends up being helpful… Had to rewrite almost the whole damn thing, up until the greeting at the end, as youtube decided all of a sudden to unpause and autoplay next video and I lost my entire draft T.T

  8. least favorite if we are counting old dungeons : snow cloak.

favorite : Fell court of Troia. i just liked the aesthetics and music and it was the only dungeon i never got bored farming.

  10. Mt. Gulg is not my favorite dungeon, but it does have one of my favorite bosses in it: the cube with the nine faces on it. I love bosses with puzzle mechanics because it makes it much more interesting to do the mechanics than simply "don't step in the red puddle". I also like the final boss in it.

As for my picks, I'd say my favorite would be Smileton (it's also the only level 90 dungeon I can consistently do well in — for some reason I'm just having trouble with the bosses in the other dungeons). Plus, the music is fun and more exposure to Loporrits is always a blast.
My least favorite would probably be Amaurot. I know people love it for emotional reasons, and it was fine for that when you're running it the first time. But I never look forward to having to run it again and I always dread possibly getting it in the 50/60/70/80 roulette. It's just so difficult that while I understand the difficulty for the first run, the difficulty for repeated runs makes it just no fun to go through again.

  11. Aurum was my least favorite… Until I did the Stone Vigil (Hard) for the event we had a few months ago. THAT dungeon is freaking terrible, but it's kinda "niche" since not everyone did the quest to unlock it.

  12. Great video, I think you could refine the method for a more precise result (since you're basically doing science). For example, the bias here is "most/least", but maybe a lot of people had Bardam or Aurum Vale as a top 5 or top 10, which skews the result about overall appreciation of dungeons since these preferences weren't voiced in this analysis.

Nonetheless, cool idea, hope you'll get even more interesting results ! As for me :

Most liked : The Burn, the music, the aesthetic, the final boss, I love it.
Least liked : Stone Vigil HM. In itself it's not that bad, but the clunkyness of Cuca Fera brings it down several notches for me

  13. As an Amal'jaa stan, I love the Sil'Dih Subterrane so much. It was so intriguing to not only discover the past of the country of Thanalan, but, also how intertwined all of the races that lived there once were, until Balah'Dia ruined everything. #JusticeForAmal'jaa

My least favorite dungeon is definitely Haukke Manor (Hard), if for no reason than Halicarnassus. An unresponsive party can make what is an okay dungeon with neat story stuff into just an utter slog of trying to slow down DPS races.

  14. Recency bias, anyone? speaking of which I've replayed a lot of ARR (and I really like them even though the mechanics are outdated). Lost City (both of them) is probably up there. AV is the most memorable of all XIV, I have so many stories there. Dzemael would be at the bottom but if we're talking (almost) original versions I'd have to go with Thousand maws. Not because of the heavy sections but because it was the most toxic (pun intended) of the dungeons. Back in HW and early SB whenever I got it in DR I really considered taking the penalty and leaving.

  15. I would say my most hated dungeon in the entire game would be dead-ends by a mile. That is the one dungeon I dread the most. And my top favorite is hard to choose for the whole game but let's just go with The aetherfont

  17. Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak would be my least favorite, especially the old version. I didn’t mind the part where you had to gather the lights, but the goo on the floor just being there to slow you down wasn’t fun and didn’t seem to have a purpose. The new version was better but still not great.

My favorite dungeon would be Kugane Castle love the final boss 😀

  18. Ghymlit didn’t surprise me at all! As someone who absolutely loves the “culmination of plot dungeons,” Ghymlit is up there with Amaurot and Dead Ends for me. And I think for a lot of people! It’s dark and gloomy but story-wise it’s complemented by some amazing patch content, and I love getting it in roulettes! I find it extremely immersive and I think that’s why it got so many positive votes.

  19. Least favorite: Wanderer's Palace hard.

Most favorite: Holminster Switch. To me, it perfectly sets the mood for all of Shadowbringer. Sadly, that urgency doesn't carry over to the other dungeons imo until Gulg.

  20. dzemael hated? i don't get it. it has the crystal veils.
which is fun as heck when you pull as far as the game lets you 😆
i love me some utter chaos and the panicking healer until they realize you take next to no dmg

  21. As a little baby sprout white mage, Aurum Vale taught me some pretty valuable stuff. I currently have a love hate relationship with it but it got me to be better. Last time I went through, only one of my DPS died 🎉

  22. Stone Vigil HM has some of the worst boss mechanics in the game. It feels like they were experimenting and im so happy they never used any of those boss mechanics again. Well deserved top 3 spot

  23. Man, I earned so much money on Neverreap (from orchestrion scrolls) that it's kinda hard of me to not like it 😀

Favourite: Xelphatol? I was always very fond of it for some reason, even If i wouldn't call it "best" in any category.
Least: Antitower? I have done it sooo manyyyy tiiiimes, that I basically stop enjoying it at all, and it's hard for me to handle it.

  24. Most favorite: Ktsis Hyperboraumaurot
(both of them are too good, but ktsis wins for the sole reason that the basic boss music of endwalker is 10 times better imo than the shadowlands one, I think "on blades edge" its called)

    Least favorite: The grand cosmos
the reason is because I knew the name of the dungeon before I knew what it was about, and I expected sooo much from the name. Then I was greeted by a dumb castle with dancing brooms where I have to carry around plants. Also, to this day even, people dont understand that you can fit 2 aoe markers inside the safe spot close to the 2nd boss, MY LORD.
Reliving the disappointment caused by poor naming makes this dungeon the biggest sigh for me when I get it in roulettes.

Btw fun fact about the grand cosmos: Since Im fluent in German and French, I also checked the name of the dungeons in these languages. Turns out, in German it has a somewhat French name, "Chateau Cosmea", with "château" being the French word for "castle". And in French the name is "Le Cosmos coruscant" which roughly translates to "the shimmering cosmos"

Props to the German name at least for not giving me an idea of exploring the cosmos.
