  1. What a ride. Personally, the bit until right after the trial felt almost more of an extension of the 5.x patches than part of the expansion proper haha… I remember Yoshi-p saying that people would be scratching their heads going "but it's only level 83!" and while I knew that they'd have some kind of twist for us, I STILL went all "HUH???? THIS EARLY??"

  2. I remember Yoshi P. saying the first trial would surprise us, and me thinking 'what could he possibly mean, is it not The Magus Sisters or Anima?' And he was right. I was certainly surprised. Although I feel like I shoulda been able to guess, since we knew already we'd be facing The Final Days like the Ancients did, and also how they averted it. Or, postponed it rather. Still a shock though. Subverted my expectations in a really good way.

  3. Got in here before everyone else, most unexpected. I was waiting for this reaction since the beginning, love how hard you flipped out. I started cackling when I got to this part. XD Having Zodiark's death start the final days was so blindsiding.

  4. I love watching people get to this point. Forex:

Friend: Let me guess, we'll come back later when he gets freed and we have to fight him then.
Me: I'm not saying yes, but I'm also not NOT saying yes.
Friend: Got it, killing a god later.

    TEN MINUTES LATER

    Friend: WHAT THE ACTUAL —
Me: Hi! It's later! Let's do this!

  5. Ah, finally the part I've been waiting for! 😀 The Zenos bodyswap scene and this part were my absolute favorite moments of this expansion, if probably not the entire game. Many chills were had, and screams outed. I think none of us will ever forget that feeling of "HOW ARE WE FIGHTING ZODIARK AT LVL 83?!" hahah.

(My personal and admittedly very controversial opinion is that it sadly goes a bit downhill from here, but still a very strong expansion nonetheless.)

  6. Zodiark being the Disc One Boss
. after 10 years
is just a perfect way to screw with expectations and really make us wonder “What happens next?”

PS: An immortal being who lives on the moon and calls himself “The Watcher”? Stan Lee and Jack Kirby would like a credit, please. 🙂

  7. The one silver lining to the fact that you were spoiled is that it did not give you the context by which the future encounter would occur.

It's still crap and not okay. But at the very least, the story is complicated and winding enough that you were still allowed to follow the journey and be surprised by the circumstances to come.

Fandaniel's final words are very interesting to come back to. Endwalker has a lot of moments for you to revisit, and I'm sure editing these videos has given you a lot of "Aha!" moments. It even plays the nighttime music for a certain area to come!

  8. I loved reactions to Shadowbringers, but holy hell is Endwalker even more entertaining.
It's like a constant stream of "Wait WHAT" with me thinking "Oh, you think this is mindblowing? Just wait … "

  9. I was like: "By this time in shadowbringers we met the fey and goign to fight Titania..a nice introduction boss to the expansion.mbut here..mat level freeking 83 we are fighting GOD HIMSELF! What else will therr be if they fire thr big main boss at the begining?!"

  11. Man, I absolutely cannot wait to see the magnifiscent and astonishing emotional breakdown that will happen when [spoiler] and you get to [spoiler] to [spoiler] with [spoiler], [spoiler], and [spoiler].

  12. To be honest, to concept of "oh, I thought this character was going to be the Final Boss, only to have the battle at the begging /midpoint of the story", its a classic Final Fantasy trope.

Not complaining, just pointing it out.

  13. I just love the escalation here in prior expansions the magus sisters and anima WOULD have been trials but the stakes are so high in endwalker that trial level threats are mere dungeon bosses. its a cool bit of storytelling

  14. There's a lot of parts I rewatch from streamers for all the emotion that happens in the MSQ, and then there's parts I watch solely for entertainment value. The first trial reveal is one of the latter lol. The reactions are so excellent.
