Thank you so much for this video. I've been playing for months, and at the time of being introduced to so much of this, I had no context to retain it and was curious how to try and relearn things — this really helped cement a lot of concepts together.

This is *fantastic*, I would love to see you cover more ffxiv history! Deep dives into the Astral/Umbral differences and specific city-states would be delightful as well, Ul'Dah's history is a MESS!
This explains things so much better for people than I ever could. Definitely going to use this for many friends I rp with if they ask for more lore. Its just enough but not overwhelming. Plus it is all laid out really nicely and well thought out. Thank you for making this.

Im halfway through Heavensward and watching this video's got me so much more hyped to learn more about the whole world. It's so crazy it's like…. The rest of the Final Fantasy games in terms of world scope just… very slow burn over expansions. I. Love. It. Just as much as I love the other final fantasies.

After battling with square to get back into my account since before the first expansion I finally just bought the game again and made a new account and have been playing hard for a few months now and this vid really helped me understand the world better, love it!
All I can think about now is someone indignantly interrupting a History teacher with, "Woah, spoilers!"

long time ff14 fan but i def didnt keep up with the lore till i decided to make a new har n sraart fresh. This was so well done and I love how the draw parallels to our world so its eve easier to connect with but still feels fantastical
I loved everything about this video with one major exception… I watched the entire video. Enjoyed the narration and animation.. Then i see it.. The God damn upload date. I have to wait forever for the rest now D:
