  1. Just to clarify it, the examples of Titania and the metal were created solely to show as an example of what can be done. He said several times that the designers didn't really want it to actually look like that in the game and that he had told them to make the gold as "gaudy" as possible for the example.

They'll no doubt use the same techniques to enhance it, but it most likely won't look exactly like that.

  2. I dont really see our Trust in ARR including the Scions… After all, in "those days" the Scions were scattered across the world, some of them were even out-of-commission at some points in the story (Thancred playing host for Lahabrea, Alisaie being off to nobody-knows-where, Y'shtola surfing the Lifestream and then getting beaten close to death in Stormblood…). Also: until Shadowbringers, none of the Scions is a tank job. If they want to implement the Trust for MSQ, if I understand this correctly, it would make much more sense to elaborate the Grand Company Squad… or maybe pick your team from random adventurer NPCs, introduced by our first contact in the Adventurer's Guild, Mother Mioune, Momodi or… Pirate dude whose name I cant recall right now ^^° After all, our companions in most dungeons and trials in ARR up to Stormblood weren't the Scions but fellow adventurers. I think in 1.0 they had a companion-system where you could chose one NPC (with a specific job or class even) to follow you on your adventurs…
If the Trust is disconnected from the MSQ, of course, take the Scions 🙂

  3. Two things. Pretty crazy to hear plans for 7.0 when we just started EW. And really happy they are moving to update graphics. Must be very limiting for the devs to keep graphics compatible with older systems they need to support.

  4. So…. after finishing Ameliance custom deliveries, can we put glamour on her? Is this the right decision? xD
Also, I hope we can get 8 player trial against Godbert – Hammer of Justice, in Hildibrand story. The most manliness fight ever to be.

  5. I hope criterion dungeons are the Hard small group content that was being teased a while back.
It doesnt need to be savage difficulty but somewhere in between normal raids and extreme trials would be hella fun

  6. Oh no. With a switch to 4 month intervals – in itself for laudable reasons -, new expansions would continue dropping at the end of the year in stead of at the start of summer vacation in the northern hemisphere. For students in many university settings, this means a new expansion is not realistically playable on release, but only close to Xmas, and then for a very short time. Having the expansions release at the start of the summer vacation was MUCH better for them.
I would plead with SE to consider pushing out 7.0 until July 2024 in stead of November/December 2023.

  7. No idea how long I'll be playing since I've beaten EW and get bored of games quick these days, but the idea of giving new players the Trust system in place for dungeons is amazing. I want to lvl up my new dps classes but i cant get them yup fast enough because i hardly get Q to pop for low lvl dungeons. And running floor 50 in potd constantly until 70 is so tiring. That's if anyone is there!

  8. All good and I'll take what we can get but there's really only one graphical change i want and that's more people on screen. Nothing destroys immersion quite like walking around Limsa with a packed crowd of people for the first 10 yards and then nothing.

  9. FFXIV is going VR. Emet+azem main chars for the new story (echo is still there so is azem) as for emet we got no minion most likely meaning he is not done with the game.

We will be saving/helping both emet and Azem moving forward.

  10. As a new player who was a bit disappointed on the graphical side, I'm really excited for the graphics update, hoping there will be more variety of character setting and customization

Though it looks like it's going to be a long wait

  11. So many great updates. I'm especially happy that we're getting the delayed Ultimate from SHB and still the Ultimate for Endwalker. I'm not even an ultimate player (yet) but watching prog for world's first is fun.

  12. Ah this with the shader and lighting, If you go into the puppet bunker alone and into the sun, you can see how beautiful the lighting can do wonder to the armor sets, even the Eureka +1 looks even more shiny. Then I notice the lack of lighting everywhere xD G-shade for the win!.

  13. Man I called it, a graphical update only made sense for a game moving 10 years further. If they want to stay relevant, they need to bring the graphics to at least close to what most modern day mmos looked like. The initial pictures they showed had me very excited.

  14. This may just be because I'm an expat from WoW, but seeing a producer take such care of their Dev team was so refreshing for me. I am absolutely ok with waiting an extra couple weeks for patches, if it means the people working on them are healthy, happy, and treated well! I cannot get over how good this man is, to us as players, and to his team. I'm so, so happy I found this game.

  15. I just hope they combine all the older cities that are two instances into single instances. Gridania and Ul Dah would probably be the easiest from a tech stand point, but I think Ishgard and (especially) Limsa would be the most impactful from a player perspective.

  16. So Yoshi professes a desire to give less hardcore players more to do, ie. make the game more soloable with expanding the content doable with Trusts .. and show this desire by delaying content available to all (Island Sanctuaries) to prioritise more content aimed at the tiny majority (raids and 'uitimates') .. I doubt I'm alone at querying the stated desire when set against the reality of 6.1's priorities.
