Is there any point to unlocking these right now (Dec 18, 2021)? I finished the Zodiark one with seconds to spare, but I'm not sure I actually achieved anything by doing so. It doesn't show up in my Duty list, and other than "Your trial is a success!" in the chat log, I can't find any record that I've completed it… the NPC still offers the same 3 Trials when I speak to him again.
