  8. a couple of notes:
    Visit saltedxiv (which has all the class guides and the bis from the balance) and has strategy guides for the fights if you need them links to all the video guides and some decent text guides.
    If you're a tank: stop provoking 50 times in a fight (it really doesn't do anything if you're first on the aggro table), and stand still!!! Try to move the boss as little as possible. You'll likely have 2 melee DPS who need to do their rotation and their positionals. A boss that's moving or spinning constantly is not good for DPS.

    When people say know your rotation that means you need to be able to almost do it blindly on a dummy. If you can't do that in a fight that's fine, but try not to look at your action bars whenever possible so you can see what the boss is doing.
    Also, know what other tools your class offers. Addle, reprisal, feint, … are all very valuable tools to reduce the damage output of the boss. They are also part of your rotation… in a way, and they make the fights easier in the end.

    One more minor downside to party finder: they all have different macros… ALWAYS.
    if you use FFlogs or someone in your party does, and they upload it, go find that log and visit xivanalysis. It can give you very valuable information on what you need to improve on.

As a WHM playing since the first day of ARR I hate that players basically forced SE to make healers do DPS, it wasn't like that back in the day… Instead of tailoring the fights to make healing fun, non stop and about mana management they make us push 1, 1, 1, 1 and every 30s I also get to push 2… so lame. There's a reason a person plays a HEALer and it's not to do DPS… If they want us to do DPS at least make it fun! The only fun DPS spells whm has is Afflatus Misery and Assize (assize because it's OP, heal, dmg, mana return, instant, what?). Heals building up a resource towards a dps attack is a cool idea, and honestly I wish we were weaving all attacks into our heals just like Afflatus Misery. Imagine casting a heal and getting a proc -> the proc activates a heal boost and an dmg attack, based on the situation you decide whether you spend the proc towards healing or dps ->quick thinking, it can branch out in carious ways, opening a small dps rotation, neat system imo and beats 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 2…

  16. Been watching your streams when I can since I got back into ffxiv and they have been really fun/chill to hang out in! Finally caught up with end game after starting in HW and this is exactly the guide I needed to feel less anxious about trying savage. Great work 😃
