When yoshi-p talked for the first time about a graphical upgrade for XIV he have shown a character what is far high res. and yoshi-p have said: this is not how the upgrade will look like see it more as a medium upgrade because xiv is a large game with 100+ hours gameplay and every 2 years a new expansion so the game would be to big for the servers.
    i think we have to wait for the second fanfest to see first ingame pictures from the graphic upgrade. they ae still probably testen few things or there are already busy to prep for 7.0 (the expansion when we get the upgrade) i hope they can push it to the limith that we all will be suprised. but i think it wont be that mutch

  2. I think you've forgotten though that FF16's running the same engine as FF14, and you've seen how good it's looking now in the trailers. Whatever they learn and do in the new game can be applied in 14, and I think that's one of the main reasons they used that engine in 16.
