final fantasy sucked ever since 7 and it's gotten worse over time. cloud didn't need to exist. sephiroth is stupid, and so are the devs of final fantasy. the only good things under their belt is ff1-6.
now… I know some might disagree, so I put together a list of reasons why I believe what I say is true.
random encounters. (yay!)
quick animations that don't take more than a minute to complete.
ACTUAL GAME BALANCE! (ff2 is exempt from this for the leveling system being a dumpster fire.)
quality over quantity. (you might say that the quality has gone up lately and I say it's absolute trash)
I'm not a 'first-gen is best' kinda guy, but I do have a bit of color blindness, so you'd have to admit darker backgrounds + bright combatants makes things easier.

But what about playtime? Is there any restrictions on playtime? Truly a free trial at such a high level and the inclusion of an award winning expansion would come at some cost in terms of how long you can play.
