  1. If Bellular wants to engage with the transmedia narrative, there is the series "Tales from the Calamity"
There is one series for each expansion and that is the first one (ARR)

  2. For new folks, especially in NA and specifically on Aether DC: When Endwalker drops, give it a few days to normalize for login queue length. Once you figure it out, login early based on that. For instance, I know folks who were remote logging on their home PC from work before their drive home when Shadowbringers dropped. Login before you pick up dinner or take a shower and clean up. Have some laundry around to fold so you can maximize your in game time and real world obligations.

  3. I really wonder how many people are playing S-E's other MMO, DQ10. Because it seemed pretty popular when I played that living in Japan, even if I couldn't stand it myself.
So they actually have two MMOs they're needing to manage! I also really hope people take their advice and join Crystal. It's a great data center!

  4. Do you know what other book(s) come out in 2022? The new printings of the Encyclopedia Eorzea! Imagine, lorebooks that aren't invalidated by the expansion immediately following their release!

  5. I can only speak for the Lich server on the Light EU datacenter, but even during the time you weren't allowed to create new characters there, I never had that long of a queue. Mostly around 50 or 60, very rarely 100 to 200. Exceptions are though when the server had a hiccup and DCed many players, then it was going to be 1500 to 2500.

  6. In one case they even put there office in game(and as you continue playing seasonal npcs will recognize us and greet us as old friends) it’s such a drastic difference from wow where everything’s an exact copy and no recognition of our characters year after year or from people we’ve met before.

  7. I get that a lot of people want to be on the "popular" servers but understand that it means you'll basically never get the opportunity to buy a house, on top of the ridiculous queue times.

    Crystal DC ftw.

  8. For what it's worth, the Ardbert Minion and the painting were the in-game rewards for The Rising event last year. S-E does this with all even items, puts them in the store the next time the event comes around.

So if you just started playing FF14 this summer and you are still playing when Easter rolls around, you can drop 5 bucks for the chicken suit glam.

  9. And to clarify, since people still aren't referencing Encyclopedia Eorzea correctly. The lore written there? Is written from the perspective of IN GAME SCHOLARS. This means that the information there is written not from the outside minds of people who know the answers, but speculation from small, ignorant scholars who don't know the bigger picture, the truth. With this knowledge in mind it's interesting seeing how people living on The Source digest and document information.
