Its such a great fight and pretty easy.
Rule number 1
Dodge when he looks at you.
Number 2
Everyone stays in melee range.
So melees dont have to run across the Arena when he Targets range jobs and can keep dmg him.
And the most important rule.
Less caster are better! Caster are just not good for this fight so the only caster should be a heal if possible.
(And yes you can do it for sure with caster but a caster has often to decide to squeeze out a spell or Dodge and mostly they squeeze and ignore rule number 1 so they die)

Literally the worst fight for BLM, additionally, I ran an event for my FC where I gathered as many people as I could because everyone needs a Rathalos mount in their life, and ran it at least 10 times a day (unsynched) for several days. We got at least 2 groups going every time. My second group lead's group found 4-5 mounts, so a lot more people got it in the end, I think about 15 mounts.
Started the event with 40 Scale+ and I now have over 200 Scale+ after buying/upgrading all the items and gear and I dreamed about this fight for weeks after.
I am wondering how one acquires that 'you can queue your next spell now' window on one's cast bars…

this is my favorite ex trial in the entire game, but i also never did it on blackmage, so that might make a difference xD
