Your thumbnail came across my feed and I instantly knew what was going to happen. I wasn't at this point in the story, so once I saw it, I knew what was going to happen and at every cutscene from when I saw the thumbnail until it actually happened nothing was a surprise.
Thank you again for spoiling what would have been an epic moment in the game and I look forward to never seeing anything from you again.
I hated the lalafells before this event, after it i wanted to see all lalafells burn. before HW i disliked the elezen, after i wanted to see them all purged from this star.

I know the feeling. :,) When I first started with ARR, I found it really slow and was on the verget of dropping it (thought I got nothing to lose since I was on free trial anyway)…until I hit the part of the story where they started touching on Ul'dah politics. Curse you Monetarists!
That started it for me. So it was no surprise that when I finally got to the Bloody Banquet, I was raging at Teledji and his smugass face and cheered when Raubahn offed the little bastard. >:( Glad you're enjoying FFXIV, bro! It only gets better from here on out!

Bruh I played through this recently (Iβm on HW rn) and it blew me the fuck away. I was genuinely shocked.

I just did this yesterday⦠glad I decided to do this part on console while chilling in my couch. I was practically watching a movie. Lol I was the same as him too haha yelling at my tv.
It felt as thrilling as watching a movie. I was all in for it.
I knew it was a long cutscene but I didn't realize it was an hour-long. no wonder emotional damage afterwards
Yup. This is the quest line that changed everything.
I actually really like ARR's story. I think it gets flack because of the hokey voice acting and some of the slow periods (there are some mini-arcs in the game that are kinda painful. Most notably any time Moogles of Sylphs are involved. I hate the Sylph quest lines), but it's still a really strong story. But this quest line was the one that felt like it was really opening up the world and you were embarking on a much bigger adventure that before. And you were finally off the train tracks.

If any of them tried helping the Scions or our good friend here, they'd be implicated with them and could lead to a civil war that will fracture the entire continent undergoing all the work that was done.
