  1. Ginger invites "conversation" which results in a mix of casuals and dedicated players and that typically blows up. Where as this group is pretty united and it shoves out toxic casual behavior.

  2. Reasons one and two are completely redundant. It really is difficult to commit to more than one mmo, even if you're not providing for six people, and trying to establish a career in a saturated field late in your life; and he chose New World. I get what Brain is doing by laying out those other two reasons, the thing is not as many people really care as much as he thinks they do.
I would respect the video much more if he was just straight up, and said XIV isn't providing an enjoyable experience, and he is going to try something different. This is how he came to XIV in the first place after playing XI throughout his childhood. Also, the sentimental crud doesn't work on me..
The other thing is the guy is providing for six people. WTF is he doing even playing video games? Their time as children is just far too valuable, and passes before you even know it.

  3. Brian was definitely trying to work the algorithm with his reactions and titles and if you're a content creator, I get it, you gotta pay the bills. But I get the sense that he has too much going on, which is fine and it's good to diversify ones content – but he's acting like the community hates him. Dawg, the community doesn't even know who you are lol his videos get no views.

  4. Lol Xeno is so on point when he compares the “emotions” for new updates in both games. I was not part of 1.0 or 2.0 (I joined at 5.0) but I bet there was excitement seeing and mmo go from terrible to very good (and we still do get excited for updates even on 6.3 even though we know 50% of what’s coming).

  5. Considering how much of a drama queen he has been after people called him out on being ignorant about 14, its kind of hard to see this as anything other than a ragequit or attention grabbing.

  6. His reasons are excuses. Spending time with family. Then in the next breath talks about going on the road with a comedy career or playing a more grindy MMO than FFXIV. Followed by blanket statements about how negative and rigid the community is. Gave excuses then quietly shit on the community on the way out. Hope he doesn't get a media pass at fanfest and take it from someone whos happy to cover the game and be a part of the community.

  7. Sux that he's leaving for what seems to be community reasons, but knowing he does comedy as a profession it only makes you wonder how long that may last if he can't take the heat from people on the net. Thanx for shorting this out Raid Daddy.

  8. I was wondering who the fuck ginger prime was and then I looked him up and I immediately remember this dude is part of work to game. This is an obvious bait to get reactions and take one last shot at a fanbase that really didn't welcome him. The thing is tho I remember seeing this guy having multiple channels with his videos being recommended to me right when I started the game (2018?) Which is cool enough right? Well most of the videos were sorta of indirect critiques to the community and state of the game. Never and I mean never I saw a video of him actually making a direct critique of the game, it was also subtle baits which just makes me wonder what his plan was? Anyways I doubt people will miss him and it isn't for the reasons he might think but rather because his content was simply not good nor appealing. The XIV community might be track minded and take an aggressive stance when the game of its developers get critiqued but this one of the few times that I would be with the community. Good luck to him on his newfound passion and hope the kids are more happy than he will spend more time with them (albeit moving to another new MMO wouldn't kind of just go against said statement?) I don't know just being nitpicky, godspeed

  9. He always wanted FF14 to be like FF11/1.0 and has never liked the shift they made in 2.0, hence his preference for New World. He stuck around mostly for the story but you can tell it wasn't the game for him.

  10. FF14 isn't an airport, you don't need to anounce your departure, the only reason why he would do this is to try and draw in the people who wanna hate on FF14 and it's community, which is the main % of his fanbase as is.

Ginger Prime is literally just farming drama at this point, thats the main draw of his content and he wonders why the community is pissed and he's persona non grata. He wallows in the shitty end seeking as much shit as he can to bring into the light for clicks and views and wonders why A people don't like him and B why all he's see's is the shit in ff14. Also In a few days a guarentee he'll have another video about the drama of him leaving, and then the drama of that drama and so on. He's like a dollarstore ff14 keemstar at this point with the crowd of content creators he hangs with, just farming the clicks of edgy dude bros who want to hate.

I also think he wants to be a bigger fishh than he is and so he's moving to a smaller game where he can get a bigger slice of the pie. He should just be honest about that. Saying that New world is a better game than FF14 is such a hilariously transparent non-truth that IDK who he's trying to fool, but then again it's probably just part of his plan to scoop up some drama for another vid of people, rightly imho, shitting on new world.

  11. Ginger Prime issue is that he loves old style MMORPG with time sinks, and punishing mechanics. The number of times he compared FFXIV to FFXI saying the later do it better is insane. In an age where mmorpg need to adapt to new times, some people are clinging to the past.
