  1. I feel like allot of people don’t realize that last year Endwalker launched and was the culmination of 10 years of story, dlc, and patches. It was phenomenal! And FFXIV continues to release story/content patches and free events regularly. The community honestly is the best I have ever been apart of and it continues to be the best game I have ever continued to play.

  2. Jee, good thing ffxiv won. I don't know a single person in my friend group that actually plays fortnite. :/ But on a serious note, grats to ffxiv. Love this game and the community. I've been playing since 2017 and have loved it every second through the heartbreaks and happy times. <3

  3. So I'm not checking comments on Twitter because I want to cling to the last dredges of faith in humanity, but if it really was based on people playing then where's WoW? While basically emaciated before Dragonflight it was still bigger than a lot of other games. And also I don't think ActiBlizz will be able to buck old trends and see a bad end waiting for DF if I'm being honest.

  5. FFXIV has such a chill and respectful community. I love how Yoshi-P went out of his comfort zone to speak in English. The team continues to set a great example and the community wouldn't be the same without them.

  6. another great moment for FFXIV to take the stage and be recognized. Hard working devs and loving fans synergy is just too strong. The accolades the game racks up is a testament to how evolution of a game SHOULD be. Thanks for the vid.

  7. I was expecting ff14 to win again because even though games like fortnite and genshin have a lot more players, the developers just don't care about their players and therefore doesn't receive the love from their players unlike ff14 where the developers actually care about their players.

  8. yea ff is only popular for the older generation teens like me dont even know what final fantasy is… its so rare for someone my age to play ff that i literally scream when i realise someone else does LOL

all those valorant/genshin/csgo/whatever trend game players playing together while i play ff alone 🙁

  9. Sorry Fortnite players but I tried Fortnite. Spending 3 hours trying to gather mats only for some skag to randomly come over and NUKE all that progress I personally didn't find was very fun. It was aggravating. Now to each their own but I'll stick FF14. If I want to get griefed for an hour straight I'll consider it again but there's a reason I hated PVP servers back in WoW. I want to enjoy the game, not be made miserable throughout my entire experience.😒😒😒

  10. FF14 Deserves the awards to be honest.

As someone who played towards Endwalker, and was around for all of that hype. Everything that FF14 went through, from 1.0 and the beginnings, until now? They've stood the test of time. They have one of a dedicated team, and they try damn hard to focus on the community and the content. Sure balance will probably never be fully fixed. But it's a story-based MMO which has been around for 10+ years. As someone who plays multiple MMOs, as well as Fortnite and others? No one should be salty because of an award. It's an award sure, but you need to remember your roots on why you even got into playing video games in the first place.

Just play games because you enjoy playing them, and voice your opinions in a respectful manner or give the feedback if you think something can be changed for the better.

  11. I remember one time in Heavensward the pizza delivery guy saw all my framed FFXIV posters and started nerding out. When he found out we weren't on the same server he said "aw, I thought I had just found a new best friend" then he left lol.
Random people play, you never know. Unless they have a paladin jacket then you can probably tell.
