  1. Not to be overly dramatic, but this version of To the Edge alongside how Elidibus has been around since basically the beginning? Idk this goodbye really hit me hard. He ended up my favorite character by the end.

  2. I was fully expecting this to be the theme for this fight, but it's just arranged so beautifully, and with all of the meaning behind that melody I couldn't help but cry a little in the middle of the fight lol. Soken has outdone himself yet again.

  3. I love that we get what is likely the quarters of the Convocation of Fourteen as the arena for this fight. Super fitting that Elidibus's arena is there, given how much he loved his duty and always gave it 200%.

  4. ;-; Goodbye Elidibus. Since ARR you've been a worthy foe and friend. So glad we got to finally actually face him. Not Zodiark, no a Primal he's summon around himself, not as Zenos or Ardbert.

We finally got to fight the Ascian in White.

  5. I loved this fight so much and just the music! I wanted to cry so much during and at the ending of the whole raid. They really know how to pull on the heartstrings, I ended up getting so attached to him and i'll miss him so much!

  6. In 5.3 he is on the ground and you walk over and kneel in front of him. He leaves crying knowing he can no longer help his friends.

In 6.4 when he is set free, he stumbles and falls to the ground. You rush over to him and also kneel. But this time you support him and you go forth one fibal time to SAVE THIS STAR.

And finally when he departs, he leaves HAPPY that his friend is safe and the world is on its proper course.

I made a video on it just now but I realized even then i missed a few detaila from watching this 😢

  7. I figured we'd have to fight Elidibus as either the final boss or second to last, it was going to be him and Athena in either of those spots.

Still got a little choked up when the cutscene starts and I immediately hear a remix of 'Neath Dark Waters/To The Edge.

  8. God, I can't get over how much I love the stage, the lighting, the theme, his design… Everything about this fight was beautiful, and emotional.
Reminiscent of those 5.3 feels 😭

  9. Felt good to settle this on good terms with Themis, who seems remarkably akin to FF4's Cecil of Dark and Light. Im reminded of Moenbrydas parents' remark from MSQ: "Dont mourn his death, but celebrate his life".

Pre-Final Days, Themis was a worthy bro.

  10. This fight was so amazing in every way. AND the fact it was a reprised version of the theme when we fought him before. So much love! (Personally like P11 OST better than P12)

  11. Pardon the essay I'm about to write in these comments, but I just wanted to say something, considering how much this fight struck me in the heart.

I said it originally back when this expansion dropped, and we got to see Themis as the "raid teaser" in the final cutscenes. And I said it again during the subsequent tier drops, with Asphodelos and Abyssos.

I knew we were gonna have to fight Themis. I knew they weren't gonna let us lose this chance to connect with him again, after that beautiful send-off Elidibus received in 5.3.

But instead of it being Elidibus, the Ascian in White that we were so desperate to defeat back in Shadowbringers. It's Themis, the Emissary of the Convocation. The little remnants of his soul, remembering his times with us in the past and the guiding light that Azem bid him watch out for, rather than his Ascian self's fervent desires to see the old world restored.

The parallels with the cutscene afterwards, of Themis collapsing and beginning to fade away due to his mangled aether. Your character, kneeling down in front of him, to provide some solace before the end. Giving some clarity before the final sleep.

Only to miraculously stand back up and refuse to say goodbye just yet. No longer are they offering a comfort to a dying, confused man. But they forcefully pulled him back to his feet and told him that he wasn't done yet.

Oh, how it aches in the heart… To recall the justice that was felt before, yet how sad it makes me now.

  12. I think the most incredible thing about his design is his staff/spear.

Both ends of it are abstract designs of Zodiark and the Mid-sundering picture of Hydaelyn.

Fight itself was rather bland but hopefully it evolves into something beautifully crafted in Savage worthy of Themis and Elidibus's duality.

  13. The theme and arena design remind me of innocence which I love and I love the bosses design of course looking slightly like WOL another absolutely fun fight. Elidibus being fantastic as always too i really didn’t want to have to fight him this time though. But we finally got to truly clash swords with him and it was worth it he has been a great character from start to finish he will be missed but never forgotten as a character villain and ally he was awesome
