  1. Hope my wife doesn't watch this video – otherwise I can see her ordering one and playing at the Gold Sauce 24×7 😛

Thanks for the video, waiting for Valve and SqE to come together and make the game an actual supported option for the console. It indeed has a ton of potential.

  2. Do you have a setup guide for FFXI private servers like Wings or Eden? that's what I really want on my steam deck!

Really I think I want to somehow join a private server while entirely still in SteamOS since Windows drains too much battery life. Man, just imagine the wonderful grind of FFXI but in a mobile form factor that let's you also live life somewhat! That's what I need now that I'm in my 30's with a busy wife and a 2 year old.

  3. Drat, as if I wasn't already excited enough for my Q3 preorder! I've run FFXIV on Linux for a while and it performs great, but having it on the Steam Deck might be the thing that finally gets me to learn to play it with a controller… know anyone who's got any good guides for that? 😛

  4. Glad you are enjoying yourself. Thats how I’ve been feeling with DQX on Switch. Might pick up a Steam Deck once I see how FFXI runs (though if FFXIV runs great i should have no issues)

  6. Would I still be able to use Exit Lag? That helps me since I have low download speed 8 Mbps and I don't get lag anymore since I have to share a connection. Heck, even if my parents downloaded a small update for what they use, it probably wouldn't mess with me since I have exit lag and FFXIV is the only online game I wanna play.

  7. Crafting and gathering on an iPad with a controller via psn remoteplay is great. Big screen and superior battery life too. Very portable. Also great for msq.
