  1. 1:36 I don't think it's too great a stretch to suggest Yoshi P is one of the most important figures in video gaming. Had he not saved 14 we might not have the FF franchise around today. He lives and breathes the player experience and cares deeply about his product. I hope he and Sean Murray get to have a beer together one day, I'd happily pay for them both

  2. Honestly I’d rather have something fresh and new then more of the same but on mobile. I played FFXIV before and after A Realm Reborn and for them to just make it again for mobile is not inspiring to me. This however is not surprising for a company that can’t seem to steer away from remaking their classics again and again (FFVII for example). I hope one day they can return to their roots and make a new game that utilizes the job system in a new story.

  3. So I'm not a mobile gamer. I play on PC my question is who is this marketed too? Like only using this as a tryout seems like a waste since there are free trial campaigns on pc and it's not like all your progress on mobile carries to PC. Like as someone who has played for years id be more interested if I could do crafting and gathering on mobile and it counts to my main account. Or if I could manage market board stuff. Idk if someone has a different pov I'd appreciate helping me understand

  4. Another f2p MMO with no gacha is called Dofus Touch. It uses a tactical turn based system and is actually really good. If you play on the phone a bit, definitely check it out.

If youre on PC, check out their second MMO called Wakfu. There are a lot of classes and lots of different ways to build them.

  5. How difficult it is to understand, that players want a NEW FF MMORPG NOT THE SAME OLD SHIT. Jesus Yoshida. This is gonna be stupid and a waste of time for us, those, who spent years playing ff14. I swear some people just dont listen to their playerbase. Use a new engine and make a new MMORPG, its that easy. No, instead they make this slop. Fml

  6. Hot Take: Yoshi P ruined FFXIV. It was actually shaping up to be a true FFXI successor til Yoshi "Cater to Casuals" P came in and scrapped everything to make the extremely boring game that now exists. The combat is so braindead. 1.0's combat was heading in a much better direction. Now this, instead of the FFXI mobile we were teased with for years. Big sad.

He ruined the foundations that Hiromichi Tanaka & Nobuaki Komoto (two of the most OG FF dev/directors, worked on FFXI) were laying & took the game in a totally casual catering direction & it was never the same. Then he proceeded to ruin FFXVI by continuing to cater to action combat kiddos (aka selling out) arguably destroying the FF franchise for the fans that have been supporting it since the start. My sincere opinion. 😉
