One of my favorite pieces Soken's ever written; it has all the elements of an amazing "MMORPG" High-Fantasy composition. Classical instruments (no electric), guitar pushing the melody in the first half with strings and hand-drums for a "rustic" feel, straight into strings and operatic singing in a church with lots of reverb, then to piano for the Endwalker leitmotif. Crazy.
I feel like these tracks from the Media Tour are actually all “Night Themes” and they just didn’t include the day tracks for this preview yet…
Especially if you consider how peaceful everything sounds so far, and the original 1 min trailer for Old Sharlayan contained much more “day” style music.
Something about this sound really brings me back to my days playing FFXI. When MMOs were new to me. It's nuts how music can bring immense nostalgia out at times. This is such a beautiful track.

Thank you for this. I kept hearing snippets of the part at the 2:00 minute mark, and fell in love with this theme. This will be my new FFXIV home. ❤
The drums give me Legend of Dragoon vibes.

This reminds me a little bit of one of the Thanalan sanctuary themes, and also Amaurot. Nice track as always from Soken.
Getting lots of Etrian Odyssey vibes from the town tunes this time around.
