This was my first live letter and I loved it so much! It was a bit long so I’ll be prepared next time because after it finished I was exhausted. So I’ve never watched anything related to the media tour because I’m the type that likes surprises. This whole trailer gave me FFIV vibes. It was so good! It worries me for the characters though. I'm so grateful to be a FF fan at this moment in time. Games like FFXIV don't come along every day. It's a perfect storm of magic and passion and I'm savoring every minute. To the moon!

Yoo he played to the game and wanted it to be better. Can you imagine we will be getting better quality. I am sorry for people who had to take time off but please dont scold our yoshi.

I just realized that there are some different lines in JP and EN ver. where Fandaniel (?) talk.
In JP he basically said: "O Zodiark, god of our own making, heed our prayers and bring us home"
And after that there's a line from new character (?): "So you wish to destroy this beautiful world?" Which is totally different from the EN ver.
It's hard for us in the west to understand, but Yoshida-san is from a country where if a train runs more than 30 seconds late it can actually be a major mark of shame. It also shows how much dedication and passion he has devoted to this game and as an avid gamer himself he knows there are lots of people that scheduled time off to play so he feels really bad. I really wish there was some way to send him messages of encouragement.
I'm expecting a hard reset… I think we're all (scions) going to die, and the next arc will be as brand new characters living in a world post rebirth
Let us pray that Yoshi-P and the FFXIV team don't take any advice from Yoko Taro on what to do with the twins… My heart won't be able to take it if something happens to either or both of them.
God damn, everything about this is amazing, but the music, the music is just so good and brings everything together.
I know there is a theory going around that the Source will be reset or destroyed but imo it does not make sense.
1. If the world is reset, how would the WoL retain his memories and abilities (we likely won't reset in levels)
2. If the source is destroyed that would make everything except Northrand unvisitable which would clash highly with game design as it has been before, in that newer players would be completely seperated from experienced players.
3. If 2 is true they would have to create a whole new planet with new zones.
I have no problem with them delaying the game, he is looking out for us in the end, BUT Yuna you have to understand for me I work retail, I had to send in my time off 2 months in advance since in retail Nov. and Dec. are our biggiest time of the year, there is no way I can call back and say I can come back now its all good, nope my job would be like HUH why you take the time off then, so for people that say: Well ya should have known duhhh your dumb for taking time off, how where we to know good Sir, or Mam. BUT I do respect Yoshi-P choices he does it for the best of us in the end and I really respect him for this.

Biggest reason people are upset tbh is because if you are working in retail (especially retail) Part Time Off is hard to reschedule, and when it's this close to launch especially. And that's a very valid reason. That being said, it's true! Two weeks aint so bad!

How can you not love the devs and this game where else do u see them apologizing and brought to tears, I can wait even if they said next year January I would not have had an issue because I know for a fact it would be the better then what was intended 🙏🏾

People actually have a legit reason to be upset because people had to put in for time off for work and for some jobs that is not easily changed. I think I'm getting lucky and postpone my time off but others are not so lucky.
FF14 team had everything planned out until WoW players leaving in drove with the blizzard lawsuit. This amount of increased players make the FF14 team most likely to designate more resource to solve server stability and that put their schedule behind. Yoshi P make the decision of delaying 2 weeks to make sure that the players will have the best experience for this expansion. It sucks for people who already asked for days off from work. If it was me i would rather have 2-3 hours every day with no disconnect issues than having the game launch on time and be one of those people who can't log in to play due to server problems on my days off.

Well of course it’s totally fine for you. You’re a streamer, you don’t go outside anyway and you’ll be here whenever it launches anyway and I feel for the people who fought to get work off.
Personally it doesn’t effect me either, I’d rather wait and have a good product and I trust in Yoshidas judgement but obviously two sides of every coin yknow and it seems insensitive.
I think Alphie is going to pull a Minfilia on us. He won’t truly “die”, but he’s going to give his life for some kind of greater purpose that allows him to be involved in the story in an indirect way going forward.
My thought is that Alphie’s original drive was to save the world from all of its evils. I think in Endwalker, he’s finally going to have that chance, and he’s going to give his life to achieve that dream.
Took 2 weeks off work for Endwalker. When I saw Yoshida break down I was like "Dude, it's all good." I'm not even remotely mad. Is it a bummer that I can't play Endwalker for 2 uninterrupted weeks? Sure. Is it gonna be the end of the world? Heck no.

I'm curious who is going to die, if no one does, the story writer in my will feel like "End days" wasn't as bad as they lead it up to believe, and I will be upset…. the other side of me, also won't be happy if any of the Scions die -.-. I created a personal tier list of people most capable to die, this game does such a job of making me hate everything and love everything all at the same time.
So many questions. Will we meet a FuSoYa like character on the moon? Maybe a Zemus/Zeromus fight? I’d love to see a 4 fiends fight in the Tower of Zot, that’d be awesome. I’m so hyped! Ff4 had a HUGE part in my childhood. Will alisae and alphinaud do what Palom and Porom did and sacrifice themselves to save us, even though they came back during the tower of Babil.
