If I'm honest, no one sees that coming and to this day I still cry when I see that scene. Over the past few years, now that I've been through heavensward and paid attention to Haurchefant's words, I can see some foreshadowing, but it's under a layer or two of other things that are going on that you just don't see it at the time. The part right before you go rescue Emeric and you all are at Fortemp Manor and he says he's also going, his father told him to be reasonable, his answer was "Father, a knight lives to serve" his fellows and those in need or something like that.
In yesterday's video I forgot to mention that the mage with the white lips reminds me of the blood mages from Dragon Age II. They have white lips too and everytime I see that knight it throws me back to the underground in DAII. It's so weird.
