  1. I'm gonna be honest when I heard that desperius was involved in "drama" I didn't really believe it. I've watched him off and on since starting playing FFXIV in like 2020 and he puts in the work for his videos. So seeing that comment that he just stole the video and reuploaded it sounded kinda sus. The video he made was definitely his style, he's not a typical "react" youtuber, he adds his opinion through his FFXIV character, and I think it's pretty nice he made that connection between the Exarch and what YoshiP said. Idk as usual things blown out of proportion in the community.

  2. Seeing the video, it is more than a simple re-upload and is definitely transformative. It's more of a tribute video than a react. The problem with the video is it was like, way too soon and could be seen as siphoning views from Arthars video, even if that wasn't the intent.

All told, the fact that Desperius owned up is big, way bigger than most people would do. If Arthars is fine with how things ended up, then it's copacetic.

  3. honestly the only thing wrong was actually monetizing the video but the dude took down after feedback and understood what was wrong, so i guess its fine, i just think some individuals took it way too far

  4. Desperious: Edits videos with text/music/effects
    Xeno: "That's kind of lazy."
Also Xeno: literally sitting down eating with the occasional "ha ha" and minor input as the (usually entire) video is played/paused in the background

I'm not trying to do some type of "gotcha" purely for the sake of it, but rather highlight the fact that whatever is considered transformative seems to be largely subjective. In my opinion, either all react content is ok or it's not all ok. This "debate" has been going on since roughly the whole Fine Bros era. Either put something in place to ban react content and force people to rely on and create their own stuff or give all react content a pass no matter how little/much of it is transformative. Enough is enough.

  5. all of this could have been avoided if he had just a little bit of common sense xD the excuse of sharing with the community would've had more sense if the original video was only uploaded on some other small-reach social media (kinda like how china have their own version of sites n stuff– and asking for permission beforehand as well) but no, it was on youtube as well. All he had to do was share the link with the same text he edited

not to mention the lack of common sense on the mods videos too, after soo much drama about streamers/raiders being banned for much less, suddenly with all the traction that one was gone too lol

  6. He a made a montage or honor video for that moment. It has a level of transformation with the music and connecting text/quotes to enhance the moment or a way of experiencing this moment. I don't think its a real react and actually a react would ruin this moment unless you plan to share your own experience of how much it would mean to meet yoshi-p. Which in this case it would be about your moment and not Arthar's.

  7. No reacts like these are ok, bots just channel their cope because their role model content creators are all doing it. Eating head – OK. Typing waifu – call the police. LMAO.

  8. i dont really care about the drama, i just find his channel uninteresting and clickbaity. I only ever see his videos when new weapon models are datamined and his videos are usually up the quickest and easiest to preview.
