You say anime opening.. but this seem more like a proper tribute.
This came together really nicely.
The only thing I'd argue is that this isn't an anime opening since you went for the long version of the song. Too much is happening and relayed during this length so it's more of a recap, or maybe an AMV type video. But really that's mostly just arguing definitions.

Anime OP's are 1:30, so I guess this is an extended OP. However, it does spoil most of the story, so that does feel like an anime OP. Regardless, I liked it.
