  1. 1:24 Depends on which cart you're talking about. That one was going to Gridania, I believe.

Haukke Manor might have the best story of the 2.0 dungeons. Not my favorite (Wanderer's Palace) nor favorite to run (Stone Vigil), but the best when you're looking at it by itself. Stone Vigil is fairly well integrated into the MSQ and Wanderer's Palace, if you've completed the SCH quests, is incredibly tragic, but Haukke Manor is a lore piece all in and of itself an amazing for it. That changes some when you add in 2.x, because Amdapor Hard was even better, but still.

On the pronunciation: everyone I've spoken with pronounces it "Hawk," whether or not that's accurate, so I'd say you did well.

  2. R'hasti here! Thanks for the run, and hooray for being your first Samurai. I'm in Australia, so Durmin's very late night was 6pm for me. I really enjoy Haukke Manor, despite still getting kind lost in there. Haunted mansions will never go out of style.

  3. Weirdly the detail that Papalymo was talking about with Noraxia is clarified in Blue Mage Job Quests of all things. Ul'dah has a strict no "beastman" policy although it is mostly a pretense for 2 things
    1) Keeping Amalja out of the city-state, intensifying their territorial enemies
    2) Keeping the Goblin merchants out of the markets, no joke this is explicit

  4. ARR is definitely good. It has its rough patches, sure, but it is much better than most other MMOs. It's just "bad" when compared to basically literally everything after it. Which also makes the rough patches worse in comparison. And as random as some of these middle quests seem, it builds the world so very much and I would miss many of them.

  5. Tips for playing a new lalafell. 1 wear bright colors. This makes you easier to spot while zoomed out. 2 mess around with the visual settings. 3 use am extra cute emote to find your movement in chaotic battles.

  6. 22:46 "Dharr-tan-coorz" (the way you were pronouncing it already) is close enough, especially since it's a plural noun. If it were "the family Dartancours" or "House Dartancours" you'd leave off the s sound.
"Claviger" probably has the English pronunciation, but means "Keeper of Keys."

  7. Not much of value was lost? I think removing the entireplotline where we meet minphila's mother, learn about how she grew up, and get what to me was very important backstory was a horrible loss. Maybe it should have been turned into sidequests, but cutting it entirely kind of hurts.

  8. Hawke Manor could be an entire video. Two dungeons, and then more lore about it in the great gubal library (and maybe in hard mode of that too? I've forgotten), and I think a side quest, all giving hints of lore that add up into quite a disturbing picture of just what the masked men did here.

  9. Luckily, spooky is good for me any time of year, even Christmas! 👻🎅🏻🎄 this is SUCH a fun dungeon, even if I only know the basics of MMO'S and have never played one. 😂

  10. I'm loving this series, it's what brought me to the channel and made me subscribe. Just trying to show my friends and family the story through NG+ is quite a challenge, so I admire you doing it for a wider audience! I truly hope to see Durmin's adventures all the way to Endwalker, but regardless every episode is a treasure!
