When the game announced a rework, he made sure to record TONS of footage for game preservation and allowed me to use his videos AND told me about a lot of things from back then under my many, many questions.

Also known as KayciaEldren, they recorded LOTS (all?) cutscenes from 1.0 and uploaded it to their website https://finalfantasyxivcutscenes.com/ for anybody to watch.
The videos are in 1080P format which is VERY IMPRESSIVE for back then.
(They now make audiobooks about the lore of League of Legends!)

I contacted them months ago on Discord asking if they would mind if I used their footage from FFXIV for this video and it also helped!
(Most people used it without crediting hehe)

Ooooh…Great video! I really loved how before it ended, so many crazy things began to happen. It kind of sucks that the coolest stuff to ever happen in a mmo, happened to help kick off it's end, though. D: They could do something like that to kick off an expansion, I think. Not have it in plain view, but just things appearing around the world, have players guess and speculate stuff happening. Would be pretty neat! o:
Man the path companion mechanic sounds so cool. I do hope that maybe they revisit some things from 1.0 again. Key word, some. Thank you for the video Plushie.
Bruh… they NEED to add the companion back, even if you have to pay for it like with the retainers and even if you have to pay for it + being available only on Dawntrail expansion and forward… can you IMAGINE the RP posibilities with character creation and having such character at your side anytime apearing on cutsecenes with you!? SE is really sleeping on a huge pile of money right there. I'd pay for that.
