Right there with you – I was grinning like a loon the entire time experiencing this love letter to a game from my childhood.
Also, one of the teaser trailers for a Shadowbringers patch had that scene directly from the Eden summon, (the one with the glyphs rotating on the planet) shown for only a fraction of a second and I freaking screamed when I saw it. I was yelling, "YOU CAN'T FOOL ME, SQUENIX! I'D KNOW THAT IMAGERY ANYWHERE!"
This is peak homage to classic games. Can't wait to see the rest. See you guys next time (ARMORED CORE TIME BABY)
That Shiva Theme is still my #1 fav song in the game. My Personal fan theory with the music is it's Ryne, Lady Iceheart/Shiva, and Hydaelyn all singing in harmony, which is why it's all distorted and blended at points
