  1. Oh, brother. Can't wait for the sweaty PC tryhards complaining about the next Switch holding back "their" game.

If Dawntrail is included, I may come back.

  2. Suda51 instantly coming on board to support the Switch 2 day one is a clearly a no brainer given how he was interested in the OG Switch during the 2017 Switch Presentation. On the other hand, Square Enix and what Yoshi-P said about FF14 likely for Switch 2, don't trust anything they say. The way he gave his answer to Damiani and how it was translated, that obvious answer coming from Yoshi-P is basically “no”. Yeah sure they have been in talks with Nintendo about wanting to release it on a Nintendo platform which is clearly a lie coming from Square. They may not be under NDA or something, or actually made any real efforts at all. Just PR excuses to temper fans expectations. But they have seen the Switch’s massive success especially in Japan, but they still went with Xbox knowing that they don’t have any market in Japan and that Japanese games don’t sell on Xbox systems.

Fans: Will FF14 come to Switch 2?

    Square Enix and Yoshi-P: It’s a possibility.

Sometime later after the Switch 2 has released,

Fans: Is FF14 still likely for Switch 2? If not, what’s the problem then?

Square Enix and Yoshi-P: ??? ??? ???🤔 (Thinking of an excuse to make).

  3. Ghost of Tsushima was exclusive to PlayStation and it did great. I doubt having it on Xbox would be a factor at all. I think it would have made a difference if it was on Switch, but I don’t think it would have run on the current Switch. Maybe they can port it to the Switch2 and do a kind of second launch. Maybe release it in the first few months of the Switch2 being released? I don’t think the Switch2’s launch window is going to be as barren as the Switch 1 (remember everyone bought Fast RMX, because there was nothing to play but Breath of the Wild?). But there still might be room to fit Rise of the Ronin in as though it were a new release.

  4. Koei Tecmo seems to still be following the old "put it on Playstation and ignore everything else" strategy that worked for 25 years, but isn't working anymore. Granted some of those titles may not have worked well on the Switch. but they could have put them on Xbox and PC. I'm hoping the Switch 2 gets better support from some of these Japanese companies. Bandai Namco puts their games on the Switch, but often with long delays. Ace Combat 7 is coming to the Switch, five years after other platforms. Its not the only example, Dragonball Xenoverse 2 had a three year wait before coming to the Switch. Tales of Arise might show up on Switch 2, maybe in 2026. It almost like they don't want to put their games on there for some reason. Makes no sense from a business point of view.

  5. I don't think Rise of the Ronin will ever be multiplatform due to Sony co-developing it and publishing it, most likely meaning that Sony owns it since they also developed the game with Koei Tecmo. And I do not think Fate/Samurai Remnant would come to Xbox because almost no one buys games there and due to the fact that some Japanese publishers (not all, looking at you ATLUS and Square Enix) still view Xbox as a failure and not profitable platform, especially smaller developers. This is just my opinion though and I could be wrong, so please don't take it too seriously. Also, looking forward to Lollipop Chainsaw Repop. It looks so cool and amazing with a sexy protagonist. Looks to be an great time. I heard the original was a hidden gem. Definitely going to pick it up and add it to my list of my most wanted Switch games.

  6. The listed KT games cannot run well on the 2017 Switch. Rise of the Ronin was an inferior Ghost of Tsushima (By far the best set in Japan game) and the rest were mid Souls likes. But they absolutely should have sold them on PC. And they should probably just slow down (Less games, but higher quality).

  9. Player. The switch 2 is coming out during the 2025 fiscal year. I don't get why we're still talking about the switch 2 right now. Nintendo is probably going to reveal the switch 2 early next year or March 2025 Player. Nintendo will be focused on the current switch consoles selling during this holiday season.

  10. Player. Pyoro usually leaks out the Nintendo direct online before the Nintendo direct actually happens. The rumors the Nintendo direct is next Tuesday is not coming from Pyoro. I'm taking anything Nintendo related leaks and rumors like a grain of salt 🧂.

  12. Hard agree regarding not supporting the Switch. Any Japanese developer that dosent put their games on the platform at this point is undermining their own market potential. And there are still a few outliers in 2024.

  13. FFXIV is still going strong to add it to Switch is genius and beneficial for both I really do believe! Rise of the Ronin is quite fun! Wo Long was a bit annoying on the other hand. Lollipop Chainsaw proves that the Japanese can make better female protagonists than the USA. I saw Fable’s new trailer and was like… they really are gonna make the gal look like that? 😂🤣
