  1. I think it could be a good segue to get people interested in the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV's story, so they can try the free trial up to level 70 which includes the award winning expansion Heavensward and the follow-up expansion Stormblood with no restrictions on their playtime. 🤔

Real talk though, I'm interested to see how it goes but I was NOT expecting this at all 😅

  2. Hopping on this at launch is a bad idea as you've clearly demonstrated in this video, SE really don't have the best track record when it comes to mobile games so i'll give it a shot once its been out for a while and see the reception then make my decision.

Besides im already plenty busy with FF14 on PC, i have yet to beat the new 7.1 patch with all its new endgame content.

  3. It feels like Square Enix hates money sometimes. I remember Final Fantasy NT and how much hype I had initially after having played the PSP version. All they had to do was improve on that or rehash the same thing.

What we got instead? The worst fighting game ever. Arcade version is sold as a full price game. Having less content than the PSP version. I’m not going to even give the benefit of the doubt on their new titles anymore.

  4. lol u right about the stories. i always think about how ffxiv and wuwa's stories are similar in some aspects like how the mc's are both some legendary figure from the past and go around helping everyone and fighting to prevent another world ending event from happening again (lament/umbral calamity)

  5. for a FF14 fan this is both worrying and exciting hahah
I hope it's not another failed product, the higher-ups looove to milk FF14 franchise (staring at you, lady who's in charge of mogstation and 30$ mounts)

thoo as much as I would love it to succeed, I barely have time to play ff14 so I probably wouldn't play another version of it on mobile, aside from just trying it out, out of curiosity

  6. Hope they go toward subscription route instead of Gacha. I mean what will you be gachaing for? cash shop items that doesnt effect gameplay? Though that would sound reasonable but i dont think thats sustainable in the long run…seen way too many FTP mmorpg died relying on gacha

  7. Would normally be excited for this but Square Enix have been shutting down their global version gacha games left and right.

Even for the only gacha game for a specific franchise(Romancing Saga) as Saga ReUniverse is shutting down on 2nd of Dec. Never getting involved with a SquareEnix’s F2P games ever again.

  8. I just need to check again that channel coverage this news is correct 😅
BTW I think if they can capture new audience to the game it's good, more accessibility is good. Hope it turn out well.
