  1. As for the panda the race and character Chen was introduced in Warcraft 3 as an april fools and was before Kung Fu Panda, but the WoW expansion was later.
I saw a video with all intro and ingame cinematics before but can't find it now, just know that if you do find it ithat t's 4+ hours lol
Edit: actually it's probably closer to 16 hours lol.

  2. The thing that I love about that fight between Thrall and Garrosh, is that at the end of it all, Garrosh was technically right. Thrall made him Warchief, and then just kinda dipped, right when the Horde really needed unity and a firm, dedicated leadership. Garrosh was a brilliant warrior, and fiercely dedicated to the cause, but he was young and most definitely NOT ready for the burdens of leading something as massive as the Horde. Then, when it all fell apart, and Thrall came back, Garrosh had successfully made the entire world his enemies. But the thing is, Garrosh had essentially established his entire personality and way of living based off of tales of his father that Thrall had told him. Thrall had literally made Garrosh into what he was. At the end of it all, when Thrall denies that fact, it actually comes back the bite him in the ass, really hard in the next major conflict. Thrall's doubts and guilt over the whole Garrosh situation end up almost getting him killed and he goes into basically a depressed slump for quite a while. It's only really recently that he's managed to get his mojo back as it were, and that was after several years of self reflection, and having one of his best friends basically beat a few more life lessons into his skull.

  3. these reaction vids like… why dont they ask a warcraft player to direct them to the proper order. or those people that are recommending this stuff, properly sort out a playlist and send it to the content creator like god damn. Sorry this is mildly annoying to me. Like you're missing a ton of videos in between these cinematics unfortunately.

  4. There is a lot ingame cutscenes were not in nor patch trailers so there is a lot not shown and a lot of missing context so you got plenty of material to watch. Also the old orc dying the duel was such bullshit. He was basically the most powerful warrior in the history of the lore and one of the most beloved characters and it was such bullshit the way they did him. He was the baddest man alive and they did him so dirty.

  5. its a shame this video dont have arthas backstory it would make so much more epic for this guy to react, he caught up to story so fast. if you reading, react to arthas story plz, its from warcraft 3 rts game, most of characters stories origin there, and entire game story is one of best storytelling in gaming

  6. World of Warcraft (the MMO) celebrate this day´s it´s 19th birthday. Warcraft: Orcs vs. Humans is from 1994. There are over 30 books around the lore. So just starting with the cinematic could be very very confusing when you don´t know anything. But nice to see that a new fan is born. This universe is fascinating – like FF also.
Edit: In FF14 you are called the warrior of light but act more like the postman of light. As Champion for the Horde or the Alliance in WoW you have the same problem.

  7. People often confuse Arthas and Anduin, but they are not the same character. But both blonde humans, yes.

Arthas took up a cursed sword and became the Lich King.

Anduin is the son of Varyan Wrynn (the previous King of the Alliance).

  8. 13:56 Each expansion's narrative is linked to the next. Some of the narratives are very strongly linked, some links are pretty shallow.
There are often a lot of story threads that get left alone for an expansion or two and then get picked up.

For the most part, each expansion has a self-contained narrative, though. At least so far.

The next three expansions coming out in 2024 and beyond seem to be VERY tightly woven together relative to the way it's been up until now.

  9. dont mean to spam new comments so this is the last, the fight between the green orc and red orc, as well as the fight between the old orc and the elf lady, the rules specifically state NO MAGIC so they both broke the rules for reasons beyond themselves

  10. The Dragonflight cinematic is a noticeable shift coming off Shadowlands. Shadowlands was not a great story in how it was presented to the players. I hold the opinion that the story beats of that expansion still work and can work, they just didn't do their diligence to explain things. And if they did, it was usually within a book outside of the game. Shadowlands still makes me scratch my head to be honest both from a story perspective and gameplay. It was an awkward time to be a WoW player. And that was all during COVID.

Dragonflight is a pallet cleanser expansion coming off of that. It's goal (as we know now as of Blizzcon 2023) is to serve as a bridge for the Worldsoul Saga coming in 2024, a three expansion arc. I'm sure we will see Sylvanas again when the time is right. I'm optimistic for it, they have been doing their diligence in Dragonflight although the story is relatively simple. The War Within will be an interesting time.

  11. As someone who plqyed thousands of hours on both series, my personal opinion is:

Final Fantasy XIV is about friendship, finding yourself and saving the world.

World of Warcraft is about war, valor and willpower.

  12. i woder why they left out the alliance side of the cinematic after the invasion of the broken shore…they showed voljins death and not the other side..huge chunk of the lore just skipped..this vid was probably made by a horde player..they just showed bitch ass sylvanas over and over

  14. In the same way Shadowbringers’s trailer was confusing to understand at first, you wouldn’t know just by watching the Warlords of Draenor trailer that it takes place 30 years in the past, on another planet, and also in an alternate reality

  15. It’s really interesting what the video you watched chose to include and leave out, there were a lot of patch trailers, in-game cutscenes, and a series of 2-D animated shorts for every expansion since Mists,(Burdens of Shaohao, Lords of War, Harbingers, Warbringers, Afterlives, and Legacies)

  16. Heheheh you know exactly what is going on. Because you where wondering who the frozen guy is but then asking if it’s a continuous story like what happen with lich king. 😂😂😂😂

  17. i love watching these reactions – as a wow player since day 1 i still have passion for this game and it's history. Everytime i get goosebumps in certain cutscenes. And yes, it is a continious story. It's basically as in FF14. New enemy, old friends, betrayals and so on and so on.

  18. I would describe WoW as one continuous story but not everything is directly connected and things pop up whenever tbh.

Arthas was one of the protagonists in warcraft 3; a Paladin. Corrupted and twisted and manipulated into what you see now. He killed his father and destroyed his kingdom. When we last saw him he sat in that throne. And years later he came back years later in wrath of the lich king kinda randomly. We knew he would be back but we didn’t know when or how. So you could say that is a case of “continued story but it wasn’t directly connected to what was happening previously” the most “controversial” thing Arthas due before he was corrupted was basically purge a town full of people who ate contaminated grain and were all going to become undead. Arthases choices were: purge the people before they became a problem. Or try to contain the undeath plague (which there was no point in because there is no cure) so he purged them. His friends were big mad but I genuinely don’t see what other option there was😭 oh. He also made sylvanas undead. So there’s that

  19. Great reactions. It's a bit weird complication though, since they've decided to add some ingame cutscenes but then did not include some of the most important ones. But overall great video. You really should watch more cinematics about Anduin/Lick King (including from the Warcraft 3 RTS game, those are really cool too!) and more lore defining ingame cutscenes.

League of legends cinematics are amazing too, so should be a great watch as well.

  20. To answer some of your questions
    1) Yes each expansion continues the overall story of the game and expands the world
    2) The panda's name is Chen Stormstout
    3) This compilation cut out a lot of in-game cinematics and other things. You got a lot of the cool stuff but they left out a LOT.
    4) Warbringers is part of a mini-series they do before each expansion starting with Mists of Pandaria. I have no idea why this person left so much out but I do recommend you give them a watch. Burdens of Shaohao, Lords of War, Harbingers, Warbringers, Afterlives. They're all extremely good.
    5) It is a great time to get into WoW, Dragonflight is nearing it's end and next year they are beginning a new Trilogy storyline called the Worldsoul Saga while adding in a TON of player-friendly additions to help new players, solo players, alts etc. Not to mention you get access to WoW Classic as well where you can play the original vanilla game if you care to try it. WoW feels genuinely great again.
