  2. Ah the return of my favorite FFXIV series on Youtube! Thank you! (spoilers for Strangers of Paradise ahead)

    Its kinda sad and ironic that Chaos appears in Omega's tournament arc considering part of the tragedy of Jack's character is that through being trapped in multiple time loops he loses himself to his blood knight inclinations and thus would actively approve and want to take part here unlike Kefka or Exdeath. (who would want to escape to destroy everything)

    In FFXIV proper, I empathize with Cid considering I'm also trying to piece the FFXIV version of FF1's events together. While it seems to be a direct adaption of FF1 sans the lore details from Dissidia, FF1's remakes or SoP, most of the evidence interestingly suggests that FFXIV's version of FF1 takes place in the unsundered world, especially given Elidibus' personal account of looking up to the WoL. (explaining why both the Source and the First both know the legend and have locations tied to it) However, the Armor of Light set seems to be a war trophy the Allegan's took from Mercydia which kinda throws a wrench and that idea but that could be due to the cycle of reincarnation. (similar to Link from LoZ)

    As for my favorite reference this time around, while Chaos does come close, I'm going have to go with the Red Mage. I always did like their snazzy design and I find their lore and implementation here to be interesting.
